I don't agree with the means protesters used but I do agree with the end.

Ooo what means did they use? I am guessing something pretty drastic.

They harassed a blizzard employee until he stopped answering his phone and took down his facebook page. They did this to show with just a name alone they could find him and grief him.

Wow. That is pretty terrible, however I guess there was a particular point to it. Knowing certain insane outliers in such a large gaming community, I wouldn't be surprised if players would do just the same if the plan went ahead.

At least Blizzard pays attention to their fans. Easy arguments could be made against the proposed change....Blizzard knows users' names, why would we need to know them? The simple fact is a ban or game key revocation threat should be sufficient from Blizzard to deter forum trolling, hacking, spamming, and whatever else.

Some people just fail to understand the power of IRL trolling. This is why the internet should stay anonymous.....there are very cruel people out there. Now the Blizzard employee understands what could have happened to thousands of people, innocent children and members of their precious consumer base just for enjoying their forums....

And this just goes to show that a community can still affect developers.

TheShadowLord07

if only something like that could work with ubisoft to get rid of that drm.

Yeah, SC:C was a nightmare for me to get working on PC. Finally got it work now though :P
