the devs on bioshock have said blu ray didn't really make a difference, they also said there goal with bioshock is to MATCH the 360's visuals not better them.

on a good note for ps3 owners, the dlc for bioshock will remain exclusive for now

Blu-ray was not meant to make graphics look better, its just a better media device with its slightly better picture/sound quality and higher storage capacity... this would help devs in terms of size for games and also better uncompressed sound quality... so imo it does make a difference in the overall quality of a game...

However i am happy to own both a PS3 & 360..... :)

i have seen a lot of threads stating the ps3 version of bioshock would be graphically superior because of blu ray and this is clearly not the case, also i give praise to the devs for not screwing 360 owners over like epic did with ut3, i'm sure there were a lot of annoyed ps3 owners when epic upgraded the graphics for the 360 version of ut3, i think all multiplats should be the same on both consoles cos if multiplats were the same the ps3 would get more dev devotion.

Whoever said that is a moron, it's graphically superior (not by much) because it came out a year later... if the 360 version came out now it'd look exactly the same.

Blu-Ray is not the second coming, it's not anything that spectacular except for it's incredible amount of storage space.

So graphically, no it doesn't make a difference.

In amount of storage space, you better bet your butt it makes a difference.

TC before making the thread you should have done some research.Cross platform games on consoles dont look much different in terms of graphics. In the case of PCs its a different issue. And when its a PORT than nothing new is added. In this case it is a port so for them they already compressed the files keeping the DVD size in mind, hence blu ray wasnt of any use at all.But lets name some other game, lets say Far Cry 2.Devs have had advantage over there.
