Bored with my ps3, anyone else ?

I'm just using it for blu-ray right now.

I'm really looking forward to Home, MGS4, LBP, and GT5! I'll spend plenty of time on them to make up!

I havent turned on my PS3 in 2 months.I got warhawk(its ok but gets boring really quick) and i got uncharted and ut3 for christmas and the last time i turned on my PS3 was when i beat uncharted a week after christmas.And ut3 is just horrible.And also the online is so boring too(which is one of the reasons i dont play it) and i only have 3 friends which are my friends from xbl and even they say they dont really use their PS3's,like we play on live ever night till morning but never get on psn.I really feel like i wasted my money on my PS3 but hopefully when MGS4 comes out thing will change.

You are not alone my friend. Hopefully you have alternatives to ease your boredom. I was going to say download some content available from GDC but I realized the 360 was the only one that got content to download like those XNA games.

You might as well do some folding at home and cure some cancers while you're at it.

It is good for blu rays and upscaled dvd's but honestly I played a few games on it and havent really got into it. Hopefully this will change with mgs 4 and whatever rpg is coming out next. Not bored of it at all. Been playing it more than ever actually, even during school. I am however rather dissapointed so far with LO(it's the only 360 game I really have). I'm not that far into it, but I hope it gets better.

I loved ps2 lol. That thing was rpg heaven !!! Had it within the first month it was released I think.

Uhhh no, not at all. I only recently started buying games for my PS3 though. I held out for months before I bought a game. The PS3 was starting to become an afterthought.

However, my PS3 has gotten almost all of it's playtime in the last few months. It started when I found the PS3 version of Call of Duty 4 for $39. Needless to say, I found that I really enjoyed PSN and also found that the SixAxis fit my hand a lot better than the Xbox 360 (I have small hands).

I picked up Oblivion for the PS3. The load times are faster and you get Nights of the Nine for free which is a lot of fun. Over the last couple of months I've spent around 50 h ours with it.

After that I found another sale on The Orange Box and picked it up for the PS3. This was a big mistake as the load times are really long and just playing through HL2's first few levels gave me quite a bit of lag.

I finally got around to playing Uncharted and couldn't put it down. It was a short game, but oh so sweet. If only all games could be this good. Definetely one of the best action/adventure games of all time. Possibly one of the best games ever made too (IMHO).

This week I've been trying to get through Ratchet & Clank which is turning out to be pretty fun. It started out kind of slow, but I'm about 6-7 hours into it and the story is starting to pick up. I've never played another Ratchet & Clank game before but I've had no problems with the game so far. The platforming and combat are way too easy though... definetely a game designed for younger kids.

I also have Tekken 5: DR and Loco Roco. Tekken is a lot of fun for local multiplayer and is probably the most requested fighter when my friends come over. My GF also loves Loco Roco and just recently managed to gather all 200.

On top of all of that, I also use the PS3 for DVD / BD playback, although that was it's primary function for months. The BD drive is much, much quieter than the DVD drive in the 360.

I never turn it on either and I had a 60GB one since launch.:?

Oh some times if I'm in the mood I play this once in a blue moon.

I mainly just browse the web, and listen to music and watch anime or movies now a days for entertainment.

Gaming is dead to me at the moment.

Also, I've heard great things about Pixel Junk Monsters and will be picking that up ASAP.

I still want to play Devil May Cry 4. Condemned 2 comes out early next month. April will be GTA IV.

Too many games, not enough time - and those are all muliplat games. I can't even fathom trying to catch up on 360 exclusives.

I play my ps3 more than my older 360.

that's because after mass effect there wasn't any exclusive I wanted and the multiplats I did like (DMC4 and Paradise City) were superior on the ps3 IMO. I bought Rez HD, but a week later I bought Rif: everyday Shooter and I've been playing Riff wway more than Rez.

Lost oddesy will be my next 360 purchase, if the europe version gets the asian packaging method I'll buy it on release, if not I'll wait till I find it second hand.

In the near future both consoles will hopefully get equal love, but to be honest, I try to spare my 360 as much as possible. I fear for it's health if I start over-using it. Maybe I'm just paranoid...

My little bro has the same problem. He's getting DMC4 for the PS3 because he wants to have some reason for owning it besides Blu-ray even though he admits the 360 version is superior because of achievements.JiveT

I hope that's a joke? The PS3 version does have achievements, it has the exact same ones. As a matter of fact the games stats are globally collected, much like I'm sure they are with the 360. Not only that but when Home comes out, and whatever the gamerpoints version of Home might be, you'll be able to show all your friends what you've done, because it's not about gaming anymore, it's about racking up a huge gamerscore to show off to the world.

That's another sig worthy post by you, saying achievements make the game superior. Riddle me this, why is that the PS3 version sold more, and was said to be the better of the two by both Gamespot and IGN reviews?

I was playing Heavenly Sword, Ratchet and Clank and a few PS2 games on it. I put it in storage when I went on vacation and haven't pulled it out since. There are still about 3-4 games coming out on the PS3 this year that I want, but not much else. All the multiplat titles I'll get on my XBox 360.

You need to stop playing video games all together. It's obviously not your forte' if you got bored with the XBox 360 and all those great titles on that system. You may want to try fantasy sports, board or card games.

I'm not bored with my PS3, though its the only current-gen console I own. I have a few games for it now, 4 PS3 games and quite a few PSN games, so I have a wide variety of what I can play. Lately though, I've been drawn into Oblivion so lots of use with my PS3.

I think part of your problem is that you own both a 360 and a PS3. While PS3 has some good exclusives such as Uncharted and Warhawk, the 360 has quite a few more games for it. I'm guessing you buy multiplats for your 360? Try CoD4 on PS3 if you would like to spend more time with your PS3 and you haven't played the game yet. Exactly the same as the 360 version, so you aren't getting jipped or anything like that.

yes im with you all the way ive only played the exclusives and only some of them were good..

for me all i do is dl stuff and compare them to the 360 versions..
