[QUOTE="CR00K"] The scale was incredible. I still say GOW3 is still one of the most impressive games on console because of it. I will say that playing on the harder difficulties, I had quite a time with a couple of the parts on that game. When I say quite some time, I mean dying possibly 100-200 times. lol I'd like to see someone beat the Scorpion in less than 20 tries on hardest or even next to hardest difficulty. NOT easy.

There's a union right here on GameSpot called The Ultimate God of War Union (TUGOWU) and some of the users have completed NUR (No Upgrade Runs) or even the hellish PAIN, and PAIN+ runs on Chaos Mode. You can find vids of such runs online. If you want help on that Scorpion fight (which is pretty broken IMHO), you can always ask fine folks like GMG (GodModeGod) to help you out. I used to be a NURner myself :)

They have not been very good, and incredibly easy. Except for dark/demon's souls which had some of the greatest boss fights of all time. Boss fights have been lacking the sense of satisfaction of last gen.

Skyward Sword might have things to say about that.

Wolfenstein had pretty good bosses for an FPS.

God of War looks to have good bosses also.

Bayonetta, Vanquish, MadWorld, El Shaddai, No More Heroes and a few other badass games disagree.

I see we have another MrStarkiller fan then. If SW thought their users were bad, they would cry seeing his posts.

I don't get how people are saying MGS4, GoW3 or Batman:AC. Three games had incredible (especially Batman) easy boss fights. My favorite out of the bunch being MGS4's Raging Raven boss fight because the chase scene before that has to be the best ingame chase scene ever.

As for epic boss fights that were some what challenging. Deamon/Dark Souls for sure but I think I have to go with Zelda. Epic boss battles with clever ways of fighting them and they had a lot of charm. They were all really fun.

That's actually most games this generation in a nutshell.

It's really sad. Games tend to hold your hand too much.

Some people are easily impressed by easy quick time events because they make you feel like you accomplished a lot by doing very little.

Sometimes QTEs can be fun if done right. But most developers are doing it wrong and over using the idea.

Sin and Punishment, No More Heroes, Mega Man 9, Xenoblade, the DS Castlevanias, and Super Mario Galaxy 2 would beg to differ.
