Why? Why is that so inconceivable? Because previous installments have been on Sony consoles? I don't understand why cows blindly ignore the fact that it just does not pay to keep a game PS3 exclusive this gen, especially in the face of Assassin's Creed, Virtua Fighter, Unreal Tournament and the others.

I don't see how they could put the game on the Wii. It would be like trying to play run the Indinapolis 500 in a Kia.

Look at the facts: a move like this is money-driven....and if there is something that we know for sure it is that Microsoft has sold more units than either of it's competitors. 

If you were going to make a move like this that was money-driven, ask yourself "WHY NOT GO TO THE 360?"??? 

To eliminate the 360 from speculation is pretty stupid.  I can understand that ps3 gamers would hate for the game to go to the 360, but logic says that it will...so I guess you will have to follow the trend of DMC4 and deal with it.

There is a large difference in which one is not going to be exclusive. How do you know the 360 or Wii is just not getting a spinoff? Why are people saying it will be FFXIII itself? There are 5 other games planned. Endfinal

More than likely PS3 and 360 will share the same ones and Wii will get exclusive ones

No they never said that FF13 was exclusive, even Sony said it wasn't, 360 and PS3 will get the multiplat versions, Wii will get the exclusive versions, you know this is the truth

I think Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Final Fantasy XIII are still exclusive, I think what they mean is that the XIII series won't be a Sony exclusive. In news that is sure to rock the gaming world it has been confirmed that Final Fantasy XIII, the blockbuster RPG highly anticipated by millions of fans of the series, will not be an exclusive game for the PlayStation 3 console.

The Final Fantasy XIII project as of right now consists of two games for the PlayStation 3 as well as a mobile game.  Motomu Toriyama of Square Enix has come out and made the confirmation that other consoles will be receiving Final Fantasy XIII on top of the PlayStation 3.

This is pretty big news and could lead to speculation as to which Final Fantasy XIII games are going where.  The obvious rumors are going to be that FFXIII is heading to the Xbox 360 as well as the PlayStation 3.

This quote though could also mean that the series could be heading to the Nintendo DS handheld and or the Nintendo WII as well since Square Enix has been very impressed and pleased with the progression and installed user base of the Wii, with the DS already receiving the Final Fantasy treatment a few times.

The Fabula Nova Crystallis Projects are projects based in the world of FF XIII will take place. This is why the writer of this article got a little confused when he tried to cover this story. It is not talking about FF XIII the main game of the 6 projects. This is not new. The six Fabula Nova Crystallis Projects were never exclusive. No one ever thought they were exclusive. No one ever claimed they were. In fact, no one thinks any of the last three projects are going to be on the PS3 because the PS3 is already getting 2 out of the 6, which is more than enough representation from the Fabula Nova Crystallis project.

So in summary, FF XIII is still exclusive. However, there are three more games based in its universe that are still up in the air as far as which system they will be coming out for.

The Final Fantasy XIII Fabula Nova Crystallis franchise in a whole is not PS3 exclusive, but Versus and XIII are. This rumor started coming around yesterday when a magazine scan of some Australian playstation magazine came out, and the guy from Square said "FFXIII Fabula Nova Crystallis" is not PS3 exclusive, as in ps3 is not getting all six games exclusive to it. The media has simply misinterpreted it. If Square releases an official statement saying that single game titled "Final Fantasy XIII" is non-exclusive, then I will believe this. (I will dig up the link to the scan if you want to read the article.)

There are those that done by legal binding rights and then there's the exclusive where a company says a game is going to be for a certain system, comes out and they never port it to another system. For Square, the latter case is always usually the case. This is usually to prevent any sticky situations when it comes time to remake FFs a couple of years later on whatever system seems appropriate to it.

Things are changing this gen, SE needs money and PS3 exclusive won't net them that money, they know that and Sony knows that, which is why they admitted it isn't exclusive, 

its going to be a Multiplat on 360 and PS3 

 It's just funny how Lems say PS3 doesn't have any good games coming out but when they think a PS3 game is coming to 360 all-of-a-sudden it's a killer app.

to put FFXIII or any incarnation of it on the 360 is not as you lik to think "a good buisness decision" by Sqaure

since none of the *** pop. has a 360, where would the profit come from

Ok here is the interview that the web page provided by the OP is regarding. Or rather this is how Qj.net(a reliable source mind you) and everyother side interpretted it. Toriyama clearly reinforces that FFXIII is ps3 exclusive, but the entire FF XIII "Fabulus Nova Crystallis" is not(which is old news). (the scans to the magazine with Toriyama's interview is at the bottom of the page)
