I just beat it (was fantastic), and I don't think a single game this year has had a story this good... heck most games don't have characters and a story this good. What do you think?

Hmm. Maybe. Most entertaining story for sure. I mean come on, how many stories have Ozzy Osbourne as the Guardian of Metal. Seriously.

I haven't played the final copy yet but the demo was pretty funny. After playing the demo my impressions for the game changed a lot. But I think Uncharted 2 or dragon Age is going to take the prize for best story this year.

Well I've been enjoying Uncharted 2 so much I haven't played but just a little bit into Brutal Legend. So far I can only say that it is hilarious. I'm gonna try & play through it some more, but my gaming time has been very lopsided in favor of my PS3.

I'd actually say best story to me this year was inFamous so far was original fun dark and overall great. Not being biased but I enjoyed it and maybe cuz i'm a comic book fan :p but still I loved the story and Uncharted is good like a great action movie but Infamous drew me in more i guess.

I think Uncharted 2 easily tops best story game of the year. Infamous is a high contender, and frankly, even Batman Arkham Asylum has a decent story (comic book feel). But Uncharted 2... Man... What an epic experience... Demon's Souls has an interesting story if you take the time to analyze the buried details in the environments, items, and obscure npc discussions. There isn't a character story persay, but there definitely is an overarching plot that gets even darker as you proceed through the game.

However there is an imo implied there, haven't properly played through Uncharted 2.

Yeh, but i wouldn't exactly call Uncharted's story good, it's well told, and that's about it.

Wow I can't believe people are so into good fun games, who would of known? I'm not sure what game will be labeled as best story, however don't really care what anyone other than myself decides it to be & I would rather wait until end of year for that.

Oh I read about it, enough to make a judgement. Difference is a game like The Void drives narrative in a compelling manner through gameplay devices. Uncharted let alone most games dont have that. At all tbh. Saying that I do own the first Uncharted, and it is primarily gameplay driven, not narrative driven.

Not really. It had some fantastic dialogue and voice acting, but I didn't think the story was anything special.

I'll be doing something with Brutal Legend like I have with a few other games already this year. With a coupon & military discount I got this game for $45 w/ Free Shipping. I'll play through, might keep it 2 maybe 3 weeks & then sell it. I will easily get $40 to $45 profit on the resell & use that to buy another game. It costs $8.00 to rent a newly released game for 5 days here so at the least I would have spent $16 down that road & by reselling as you can see the most I'm out is $5.00.

Where are you at that Brutal Legend costs $109.00?

I just started playing it yesterday and DEAR GOD is it amazing. Im only like a half hour-hour in and ahhh shiiii did I love the scene with the elevator. Batman is an absolute bad ass in this game.

I doubt they do it for a living, so I find it rather odd that they have enough time to practically play the whole game in 1 sitting.
