I just played the demo and while I love the overall premise, the gameplay, camera and voice acting is pretty average at best. That said, I do love the originality and the soundtrack alone makes it a must own for me. I'll be picking it up later on down the road on the cheap, though.
[QUOTE="tikki25x"]what audience is that? i dunno im not really all that into Metal and i guess im "urban" too, but i thought Jack was pretty funny. and i enjoyed the demo. especially the demonic prayer as youre going down the hill at the beginning. the music was pretty cool too even tho i have no clue who the artists are. lol. i dunno, im always open to new stuff especially when it comes to music so maybe its just me. i understand where youre coming from tho, dont get me wrong. I been more open to more stuff in the last decade, but Solid Snake(MGS1) is the best character ever. I can imagine ppl in the hood saying " he a cool white dude" Dante was cool in DMC1 and i didnt see the beefs ppl had with him in 2. But 3 he was lame. Using the excuse that it was his younger is usless to me because i found him weak in 4. Ppl hated Raiden in MGS2 but i just hated his convos with Rose while i thought his ninja tranformation was cheesy in MGS4[QUOTE="PSP107"] we both dont speak for the entire urban demographic saying u from the bronx wasn't necessary. we both should agree this game is aimed at a specific audience.PSP107
I don't even understand why you mentioned you were "urban" if you admit neither of us speak for that demographic.
I'm not into Day of the Dead lore, but I loved Grim Fandango. I've never been to a summer camp, but I really enjoyed Psychonauts. I'm no Hell's Angel, but I thought Full Throttle was a fantastic game.
The only group I think Brutal Legend is aimed at is gamers.
The games I mentioned have general themes that were used as the frameworks for those games. Same with Brutal Legend. The theme isn't so obscure that I don't understand it's general conventions. So I don't buy your explanation.
Yes, the Guitar Hero goofy platformer type game that Brutal Legend is is an ugly gimmick.get-ka12
"platformer"?
You haven't played it then?
...San Andreas did well because the main character was black.PSP107
I thought San Andreas did well because it had the words "Grand Thft Auto" on it.
[QUOTE="PSP107"]@ VoodooHak the min u ppl heard about a 50 cent game u ppl dissed it. and automacily dissed it when the sequel was announce. 50 Cent Bullet Proof(2005) sold well among the young black american ppl simply because 50 is the star similar, San Andreas did well because the main character was black.SergeAndKidHow do you know mostly blk people bought the 50 cent game and The reason SA did well is because it's the best game in the series. nice way to generalize u ppl read it wrong and dont understand others buying habits. GTA3(2001) was played via others having the game. but alot of those ppl didnt buy Vice City but found San Andreas was having a black they jumped on it quick. 50 Cent Bullet Proof was a horrible game on a mainstream level, but alot ppl at my local Gamestops picked up without knowing he has game.. The soundtrack actually help them enjoy it.

Gamestop employees told shoppers that San Andreas was having a black character they quickly reserved. 50 Cent Bullet Proof also was reserved and that had no history but ppl still bought it around here. the main games ppl reserved are NBA and NFL titles here.
He sucks because he's trying to be Metal when he's so the anthesis of metal. He's a freaking idiot fat ass who makes stupid sex jokes all the time. That's not metal the writing is suited for his style therefore it sucks. The other stuff like when you had to chose gore or swearing was fun but Jack's delivry just ruined the game for me, that and the poor actual gameplay.

exactly my thoughts......
Thats a good point. I mean in the opening cutscenes, what i thought about the main character is he's more dark. I mean he mentions in soft voice that metal is dead. That gave me the expression this game will more serious than that. Those one liners are horrible through out the demo.He sucks because he's trying to be Metal when he's so the anthesis of metal. Jack Black talks to much with those cheesy lines. Eddie and Dante from DMC 3 are among the lamest personality characters ever.PSP107
But, that's they purpose, being cheesy for the sake of fun, Dante makes a great job, and Eddie, well, i don't like Jack Black voice at all, but i think is fitting with the style of the game.
It's full of win for anyone with a sense of humor, me thinks. I pity the haters!I've been a fan of Jack and theD for a while, him going in a game like this is full of win for me.

Why do people keep saying that? Isn't humor a matter of opinion as well?
