ok here's what i will never understand, everyone's opinion here is so fixed when it comes to the Wii. "it's just a hype machine, a fad, a gemmick, no games, no good games, good games but casual games etc." you have created every excuse ever known to man just to make the Wii look bad, yes 360 has great games and yes PS3 is a fantastic machine but ....... how does that make the Wii a bad system? it's not the system for you? maybe, but other than that none of your complaints are really valid.

that's all i have to say really, but of course i haven't forgotten the last party here in SW "the worst people in SW are the people who complain about complainers", all i can say for you is either respond to my thread or leave, and if you want to respond to my thread then i'll just say this: super mario galaxy, battalion wars 2, fire emblemand zack and wiki are all less than a month away ;), "Wii has no games" excuse was never valid, but a month from now, you will be officially blind if your opinion is still fixed, just wanted to let you guys know ^_^

PS. you were expecting a list of games when you clicked this thread didn't you?

Any level headed person doesnt see it that way, but the problem for people like me is, it hasnt adapted to the time, not so much the graphics, but the need for a great online service and *optional* competitive style, which atm is not tehre, they are jsut catering for the kids and "family protection" jargin with forced friend codes OR Annoyminous play ...

Ive played a Wii twice, once with Wario Ware on a Saturday night at a friends house party (was good fun , but wore off quickly) and once again on a normal day with Paper Mario (Was pretty cool, but again ... an 6 year old could complete it).

Your going to get bashed, you know that right? But for the people who are doing it:

The Wii has games. I don't know how I can make this any clearer to you all.

It's a child's console that no one beyond kids and Nintendo fanatics will really take seriously. Most will buy it because it the new, cool thing, After a few months, most of them will likely be collecting dust.farrell2k

It's not new anymore, it's been almost a year since the thing was released. And it is still selling, along with the software. It's not going away so easily. ;)

No, that 4 games over the next month. Thats a game a week. If you buy games more frequently then that, you practically need multiple systems to have enough opitions anyways.

There aren't any exciting games coming out in Q4 aside from Super Mario Galaxy and Fire Emblem. Next year is where it's at, though. For Nintendo, the DS has the best lineup of games in 2007.

That said, I do expect a lot more from Nintendo in the coming months.

Still no Wii games on my wanted list, I'm sick of Mario and I don't know how anyone can be excited for the rest. But thats me

^.^

And Ramadan gives me horrible memories of one night I was working in this pub. A group of asian guys come running out the toilet's saying someone made a big mess (I wonder who). It was everywhere, all up the walls, everywhere and guess who had to clean it up because it was his first night of work :(

LOL serves you right to work in a pub in ramadan  but it's over now so enjoy :P

but anyway that's exactly my point, you don't like the games on the Wii right now but you don't deny it's revolution-ness, you don't call it names, you just want the good games to come and that's fine, calling it a fad though....... that's what sucks.

So sheep, why the sudden change in preference? Last generation none of you guys cared about all these gimmicky mini-game collections and obscure childrens games. Since when has this junk become your new acquired taste? Since Nintendo started giving it to you?

Are all the games coming really minigames and kid's games? Some of these that you're dismissing as kiddy may actually have depth. Dunno, that's just me.

Its not a revolution and the controller isn't necessary, in fact it hurts some genre's. I read patents, I was hyped, it failed for the most part. There I said it, I'm not asking you to agree though ^.^

Not all games are minigames and kid's games, but the vast majority seem to be, and almost none of them are any good. I'm convinced that if it was the 360 and PS3 getting all this gimmicky junk, and the Wii getting all the 3rd party AAA blockbusters, that you sheep wouldn't be so objective and open minded as you're pretending to be.

So sheep, why the sudden change in preference? Last generation none of you guys cared about all these gimmicky mini-game collections and obscure childrens games. Since when has this junk become your new acquired taste? Since Nintendo started giving it to you?

Gamer556

Hmm...

Are all the games coming really minigames and kid's games? Some of these that you're dismissing as kiddy may actually have depth. Dunno, that's just me.

Not all games are minigames and kid's games, but the vast majority seem to be, and almost none of them are any good. I'm convinced that if it was the 360 and PS3 getting all this gimmicky junk, and the Wii getting all the 3rd party AAA blockbusters, that you sheep wouldn't be so objective and open minded as you're pretending to be.

and vice versa :)

Uh... I'm not very much a sheep. True, I love my Wii, but I also love my 360, and want a PS3 at some point. I call myself a bit diverse. And, true, the Wii is suffering from bad support, but I was saying that some games are good. You seem to agree, though...

If the 360 had the game library the Wii currently has, I wouldn't even consider buying one, much less praise it on GS.

It was everywhere, all up the walls, everywhere and guess who had to clean it up because it was his first night of work :(

nintendo-4life

LOL serves you right to work in a pub in ramadan  but it's over now so enjoy :P

but anyway that's exactly my point, you don't like the games on the Wii right now but you don't deny it's revolution-ness, you don't call it names, you just want the good games to come and that's fine, calling it a fad though....... that's what sucks.

Its not a revolution and the controller isn't necessary, in fact it hurts some genre's. I read patents, I was hyped, it failed for the most part. There I said it, I'm not asking you to agree though ^.^

*runs away like those guys did at the pub*

haven't you said Wii controller was revolutionary in bringing people into games? ot was that another guy? :?

Yes in that sense it is but it hasn't made a revolution to gaming, it is indeed more of a gimmick for the above reasons I mentioned. Gimmicks can be cool though which is why Wii Sports is so fun (the main reason its been selling so well to this new market).

The only ''revolution'' its made is in attracting non gamers (who don't relate to me or anyone alse on this forum), and turning Nintendo's market share around.

In fairness to the guy if it was so great I wouldn't be thinking about ditching it completely for a PS3 and 360, would I?

i don't understand how it hurts genre's, cause till now it's up to the devs to make the games good, and till now, it's pretty evident that the controller is needed to make games better, MP3 for FPS, warioware for mini games, Wiisports for sports (even though it was simple as hell, it has made the game that much better).

IMO the only reason why so many negatives exist is because the controller is very new, and it's hard to pin down the motions.

Thats a good point, but I hoped the controller would make things fresh and re-ignite my interest. Didn't happen, well it did for a few months then started to die out like a long wet fart. I was like ''but I already have a Gamecube'' which I still play ten times more :P
