Bungie made one amazing game in Halo : CE but Im not big fan of the sequels though, it had the curse of the sequels just like in DMC, Silent Hill and lots of other series, they didn't take risks with the core mechanics, they didn't find different content to provide, to be honest though, I know what puts me off the most, it's the universe, I don't like repeated worlds to visit in every sequel , the most they are doing now is with reach which is much appreciated, new world to visit, new flavor to the core mechanics by mixing classes, space battles...etc so what Im trying to say is the new IP will have a larger impact than what Insominiac is cooking just like the first Halo : CE, as far as sequels go , I think they will just play it safe until they feel pressured or whatever the reason could be. But hey maybe their next new IP would be one of the most enjoyable games I'll ever play making me a big fan that doesn't demand different approaches in each outing.
As for insominiac, the only games I really liked is Resistance 1 and the the first Spyro game but it's better to see a developer willing to invest their time and effort in new IPs in shorter periods of time , that makes me and the industry more enthusiastic and interested, they just love to create new IPs maybe because they didn't find their "it" game yet I don't know what is exactly the reason maybe if they made a hit or a franchise that sells 10M maybe they wouldn't made these new IPs, overall they are hit or miss but who knows maybe partnering with EA would make them much more of a capable devs.
