Sorry, but wether you like it or not. 1UP speaks truth enough times to take into account.

A lot of people agree that Burnout P looks better in the PS3.

Cedmln

yeah, people act like they are just lying the whole time.... i even think the same happened to the textures in Mass Effect...

[QUOTE="_pulser_"]OK. Nobody cares about Blu-Ray except cows, becuase it's the only thing their system has that no other systems have. There is nothing unique about the PS3 at all, and no good exclusives either._pulser_

wait till mgs4!!

I don't have to. My Playstation 3 IS the future.

Of course you dont care, if you hade a ps3 you would. The ps3 does have unique games, just got R&C, enjoyed it more than halo 3 (yes I completed it on my 360).

yeah, i know (we all know), but even compressed data has to be stored and can take up a big amount of space. In the end, a title like Mass effect has to make some consessions to fit on a DVD.. it could very well be that they downgrade certain textures to make the framerate better, etc.. (judging froom the inconsistant quality of graphics in that game). Compressed does not mean you can use an infinite amount of space.

The main problem with compressing data is that is needs to be uncompressed, anyway, if blu ray is such a huge advantage why do the textures in the ps3 version of burnout Paradise look crap also? And for the sake of it i might add that burnout Paradise sucks, what happened to the good old burnout?

Here comes the damage control... wait for it... wait for it...Jared2720

Writing BS like that sort of negates any discussion or counter arguement anyone may have.

Perhaps we should all write threads and put in the clause that if you disagree it's damage control.

1UP has already made like two lies already? First was about DMC 4 saying that the 360 version has screen tearing and looks worse or something, yet gametrailers.com and the devs themselves show'd that they both look and run exactly the same. I dunno what the other lie was about, was it about GT5? Oh compressing textures doesn't mean inferior because basically every game on X-box 360 is compressed.

Thats what happens to cows when they have been getting owned consistently for a year straight.

The funniest part of it all is that the TC of that respective post doesn't even make a valid irrefutable point, that's what stumps me, people citing "Damage control" as if there was some law to his words.

Ps3 just has a ram problem... they are finding ways to do more efficient texture streaming though. uncharted has pretty good textures

It may make a small difference in graphics (although the lower resolution I've been hearing about the 360 version having is not caused in any way by Blu-Ray)... but the vast majority of consumers probably won't care.

Blu-Ray needs PS3, and PS3 needs Blu-Ray. Separate them and neither would sell. Cows know this.

Wow, look at the 1up web site and listen at the podcast. The 360 version cannot compete with the PS3 because it's hold back because of it's DVD format. They had to compress the textures on the DVD (360) !!! Is it me or I feel more and more positive stuff about the ps3, and also the world sales are almost even between both consoles. It seems 360 had an advance just because of the 1 year headstart and cheap price, but now it begins (slowly) to drop !cramoisi

Um they must be idiots because compression, especially for stuff like textures, is lossless. Unless the developers were idiots which I doubt. If there is any difference in the quality of textures between the two versions its certainly not because of blue ray.

It's credible when it works for your argument but not when it's against.!!!! haHaahaahAHAhahahaa

I've never said anything about 1Up before this, but all these Sony-friendly stories coming out of that site leads me to believe that they aren't a credible source. I don't know where you got the frame of reference of me using/not using 1Up as a source from.

I saw some video where one of the editors couldn't stop talking crap about GT5 prologue like a week ago... Lemmings had no problem using that...

The game looks almost the same on both systems. In fact the difference is so tiny that cows should be ashamed for even bring it up. Criterion, probably one of the best graphic tech developers, using the PS3 as the lead platform, is only able to produce a game that only looks slightly better than the 360 version.

The difference is in the online. The PS3 version offers a seamless transition into the game where the 360 does not. That's it. I've played both versions non stop since the demo was released and beyond that, it's really a tossup.

It seems like I'm the only one who cares more that the 360 version has problems with stuttering framerates than about a few blurry textures I won't even notice while driving at 180mph. :?

i can almost promise you that the 360 version will be just as good as the ps3. I have played the "inferior" demo and i did not see any problems. I will try the "superior" version soon then i'll see if it is soooo much better. lol

At least it's not Gamespot.

If it's true, I could care less. Compressed textures really don't make things look that much worse, and graphics are one of the least important things I look for in a game, just above replay value.

This is the first case I think I've heard that all of the gaming media agrees that the PS3 version of anything looks markedly better than it's 360 counterpart. Penny Arcade is the first place I read this. They said it was obvious which version ran better.

Burnout demo is amazing, can't wait to pick that game up and get my race on. Burnout has always been one of my favorites.

How is it "official"? Do you have the authority to make such casual, biased observations "official"? Do I need to direct your attention to the hundreds of thousands of threads made about Crysis and Gears of War graphics?

The 2 versions look the same :( . turgore

Also, in a radical reversal - like you might see in a wrestling match - the Playstation 3 version is clearly the better of the two. Clearly. People can talk about the contrast of the comparative images all night, if they would like, slight texture differences and so forth. Both look excellent. The 360 version quite simply doesn't have it in the performance department. It runs, and well, but once you've played it on the PS3 you start to notice performance dips and lost frames that used to just fade into the background. Also, this is the rare case where the 360's consistent UI is actually a hindrance to a cohesive experience: PS3 owners pull up an entirely in-game menu to select friends to play with. Tycho Brahe from Penny Arcade

Tycho doesn't think so.
