The PS3 version appears to have better textures on the car, however the backdrop looks better on the 360. That can't be popup-hiding fog, can it?
Achievements and custom soundtracks have sold me anyway.
Both looks like ass if you ask me.Wasdie
i agree 100%
but the mountain looks really different in both screens

Thankfully, this is one of those cases in which the game looks far better in motion. :P
They look the same, if you can notice a difference between those two pictures other than different lighting than you must be a professional photographer or most likely wear 360 or ps3 glasses.

nope, they stated (in the latest podcast) that there was NO lead platform. they worked on both games simultaneous. they had more people working on the PS3 version at the start, but that was because it was still somewhat harder to develop for in the beginning.
Bingo, and they went on record of saying that the power in the two systems really isn't as big as people would like to make it out to believe.
The ps3 version looks kind of washed out, but it's most likely because the noob who took the picture didn't have full RGB on.munu9
I looks like a screenshot from another comparison video that's not GameTrailers.

You mean the DIFFERENCE in power between the two or the power of the systems in general?
Where can I listen to this podcast?
what are you talking about? The ps3 version looks like it has more detail and is less washed out with that golden light[QUOTE="GunSmith1_basic"][QUOTE="JiveT"]Wow PS3 version looks like PS2. :)JiveT
No PS3 looks washed out like a PS2 game. What are you talking about? :)
The PS3's light looks much clearer, its not all washed out with orange..
I know you're not going to stop arguing about this because I know your posting history, and yes I have an xbox 360, and no I don't think having a game looking more orange makes it better..

lol thanks, but I found it earlier simply by googling.
I think its pretty hard to tell from these screens too as whats on the PS3 side of the screen isn't really anything which we could compare to the 360's side..
Theres a fence with not so brilliant textures, the car (which is arguably better looking on the PS3's side), the shadows, the road and the mountain(which looks better on the 360 IMO)
Although a lot of people are claiming the 360's lighting is a lot better, the PS3's lighting gives clearer, more realistic colours..
I seriously fail to see how a slightly orangey brown wash denotes better lighting..
Even Youtube quality videos show the game looking better than those pics.

I have downloaded both versions and after playing them both on the same tv through 720p and HDMI this is my experiences.
The 360 version is definately sharper with better contrast settings but the 360 version does indeed have framerate drops if you e-brake at a busy junction although the PS3 does not have a constant 60fps all the time. But 360 online is better with opponents cars showing up as soon as you enter a game and better voice quality when in an online game. And yes my PS3 online connection is wired and setup properly and I am using an excellant bluetooth headset.
But I will be buying it for PS3 as I need to justify my PS3 purchase as it does not get much playtime unless they improve the framerate problem on the 360 version.

shane bettenhausen was just speaking nonsense..
Shane ALWAYS talks nonsense. It's really starting to get painful to listen to the 1up show without Luke to put him in check. It's seems like they just let his Sony fanboy loose for far too long. He's really annoying especially when considering his position as Executive Editor at EGM. Some in his position should be a bit more balanced.
