Get a PS3. 360 was great from 05-07. I used to have a 360 but sold it for a PS3. Best decision I have ever made.

You seem to be more suited for the Xbox 360 so get that. Both are great choices, but game wise the 360 library is much better than the PS3 and you seem to like what it has to offer. Getting the 360 would be the best choice, but the PS3 wouldn't be the worst decision you have ever made.

Get both. Buy a 360 now why they are cheaper than PS3. You can also get a ton of original Xbox and 360 games for dirt cheap. Then pick up a PS3 in a year or so when they are cheaper. Be a smart gamer. You don't have to deprive yourself of owning both consoles.

I would go with the ps3 for online play , I think it has the best games that one would really want to play online right now.

dont buy a system over another because one has "better online" or "better hardware"

line-up the exclusives, pick the system that has the ones that appeal to you more...thats how i decided ps3 over 360, all these little things like exclusive DLC shouldnt really be decision changers

I own both. 360 is the better choice if you're a hardcore gamer. PS3 is kinda boring for me.

You can't play these on xbox live - Killzone 2 , Resistance 2 , Warhawk , LittleBigPlanet , Socom , MGO ..... that is something that you should be well aware of. You can join clans in most of the games (where you can add people with only mics and drop people who don't have them) ....... a lot of these games have great player counts too - which provides very good variety within the games. You can play massive battles or more intimate games.

The PS3 has been blowing away the competition for the past two years, so go with that.

Both systems are pretty fun. I can't stand the PS3 controller for first person shooters.

But don't let the price fool you. When you buy Live, the wireless adapter, and a rechargeable battery set the price of a 360 is more than a PS3.

If you like RARE, Halo, JRPGs, better first person shooter controls (opinion), and better online (opinion)then I'd probably go 360.

Do you like RPG's? if so get a 360

If you like RPGs the most get a 360.

If you like Shooters the most get a PS3.

360 has the higher install base. Historically, systems that do the best in sales last longer than those that aren't

It depends on ur preference really. Im a huge rpg fan back during the ps2 era, so I bought my 360 late last year simply becuz they offered more variety of rpgs. I'll be waiting for the ps3 once the rpgs from that system builds up. Hopefully there will be a price drop by then also :)

ps3. the only worth while games for 360 are gears and halo

ps3 offers much more than the 360 and it has some very interesting games coming this year (gow3, infamous, uncharted2 and more)

360 has great online for their games, ps3 has som great single player games, but then again so does 360, ninja gaden 2, fable 2. I dunno its your call.

do you have a gaming pc? id roll with 360, since you dont care about movies. maybe down the rode pick up a ps3, but i think the 360 is great to start with

360 if you really really really want to play Halo 3 and Gears 2.

Otherwise go with PS3.

They're both great consoles. I'm sure you'll be happy with whichever you choose. I've owned both and personally like the 360 quite a bit better.

And also, I'm heavily encouraging the 360 RE5 bundle. You would be stupid to not get a console that comes with RE5 for free, a 120 GB hard drive, a headset, street fighter remix, and an HDMI cable, all over a 400 buck PS3.
