[QUOTE="dream431ca"][QUOTE="whocares4peace"] Well, duh, of course they'll say that
If they're developing a game for Sony exclusively, of course they'll say that blue ray is good and the ps3 is a great piece of hardware. Its the same as Factor 5 and Insomniac saying that their games only use 50% of the power of the cell.
Oh and to the guy saying MS couldnt use Blu ray on their next console, of course they can, they'll buy the licensing rights off sony for a pretty penny, and Sony will be glad to allow them to make blu rays seeing as the huge amount of money they'll get off the deal.

"We don't need Blu-ray!!" That was a comment from Microsoft when talking about their console. Now there screwed and kicking themselves in the a$$. It's NOT going happen. GET OVER IT!
Yup, they didnt blu ray for this gen, it would've driven the prices up and there would be no noticeable difference in the quality of games.Lets see how most PS3 games have used the extra space they get with blu ray. They fill it loads of text in 20 different languages(Resistance) or they fill it with uncompressed HD cut scenes.Neither of them increases the game quality in any way.Until now, the PS3 has shown nothing which warrants its blue ray and the extra space, cuz you could do all its games on a DVD9 as well.Until Sony actually shows something that is absolutely impossible to do a DVD, M4 is perfectly correct in saying that.
And if worse comes to worse, ill have to change the disk in my 360 once every 10 hours, beats paying extra money for a format i dont want.
My thoughts exactly. Until the PS3 produces a title that is absolutely extrodinary and destroys the best the 360 has to offer all talk of Blu-Ray being needed is mute. Mass Effect is gignatic and so was Oblivion. They all fit, however hard the developers had to work, on a DVD9 disk. The PS3 can't keep talking about Blu-Ray being needed. A single game has to step up to the play and show it clearly that Blu-Ray will enhance gaming experiences in ways no other format has before. Until then Cows talk of blu-ray might as well be "Moo moo moo." It holds no weight.
Show a game that Blu-Ray makes better. Just one. I'm waiting...
