I agree. I was going to get this game but 5 hours? I don't care how amazing it is. They are charging us 60 bucks for this game. I want the campain to be at least average in length. I will now be renting it. There is no reason to own it other than the multiplayer. I have Halo 3 and orange box to hold me over for a long time to come. I think it's sad they made it so short. Despite claiming 1080p support on the back of the box, COD 4 appears to run in 720p on the PlayStation 3. Either way, you'd be hard-pressed to tell it apart from its Xbox 360 counterpart. And all versions control just fine, making the decision over which version to buy totally dependent on which controller you like the most.

how come the ps3 version has to be "compared" up to the xbox 360 level as a statement of quality??? shouldnt the ps3 version look better due to how much more "powerful" it is? but it seems that everyones happy a game on the ps3 finally looks identical to the 360 version and not worse....

the PS3 IS more powerful... Its just that the PS3 is also extremely much more difficult and more expensive to develop for

Campaign mode is much shorter than those of the average shooter.

That is a letdown.

Cause the PS3 isnt a year old and COD4 looks the exact same as the 360 (been out almost two years)which means next year the PS3 version (if a COD5 is made)should be superior. Plus i heard many lemmings saying multiplats always look better on the 360.. well guess what? They dont anymore. That is all.

It's the most played because the majority of people who play it are 10 - 16 years old. COD4 is more of a hardcore game for me and I like the badass and realistic feel of the game. Halo 3 isn't that game for me. I play with 95% older people in COD4, but the percentage goes down to about 50% with Halo 3.

I will say that Halo 3 has more content though. Halo 3 is great, but it just isn't "the $h!+" anymore.

As far as DEEP multiplayer: Team Fortress 2!!!

u guys do realize thatgs owned them selfs buy saying the ps3 version only plays in 720p. in order for games that upscale to play in 1080p, you have to uncheck all other resolution except 1080p, so that the game will play in 1080p. if you have every thing checked it, will play at the native res of 720p

so in order to play cod4 at 1080p on ps3, have 1080p res as the only rez checked, on your ps3 settings, and vaaallaa 1080p cod4 on ps3

honestly, yes

i think this game has the potential to be the next counter strike

and i seriously believe that in 20 years most people will either not remember halo, or will realize how overrated it really was

i dont even see how it offers more content, outside of theatre mode (which i admit, owns)

cod has quite a lot of stuff in it too. and its not entirely garbage and boring to play, like halo

Apparently a game can be one hour long but as long as you can spend tons of hours mindlessly killing strangers it makes up for it.

i was pindown by group of terrorist inside a building. its crazy how they they are shooting at me and im trying to stay alive and one of them ended up throwing a grenade by me, but i couldnt find it to throw it back at them so i ended up running away. as i ran i can see them trying to shoot me down through the walls and the crazy part is i can see the bullets barely hit me as i ran.
