Call of Duty 4 vs. KillZone 2 vs. Halo 3

I'll play TF2, BF2, heck just about any real shooter. Those games, while not bad perse, are pretty much as generic as it gets.

I love all three of those games!

But COD4 and Halo 3 came out way back in 2007, so I grew tired of those about a year and half ago.

I have no choice but to say KZ2, as I have not grown as weary of it, as It's a 2009 game. Ask me in 2011. :)

3 great fps games...

I am not a huge Halo fan, so its a close tie between COD4 & KZ2 thoughi play much more COD4 so imo its the best fps out ofthose 3..

I like me some Killzone 2.

I clicked the last option because the AVGN rules, but KZ2 is my favorite of the 3. COD4 and Halo 3 are too run & gun for me. I love the slow, tactical feel of KZ2 online, even though invisible snipers and rocket whores are very, VERY annoying.

Killzone 2 is my favorite.

If people are being completely objective then it really should be Halo 3 that tops that poll for multiple reasons.

Of course very few people are going to respond objectively and that's already obvious from the votes so far imo.

I understand some people might prefer the more realistic setting and serious tones in the other 2 games, and might feel like they have 'seen it all before' with the previous Halo games etc, but that doesn't make the other two FPS games better imo.

Killzone 2 on Metacritic

Halo 3 on Metacritic

On Metacritic both COD4 and Halo 3 have the same score, both above Killzone 2, but I would seriously argue that Halo 3 is the superior game and if it wasn't being judged by the extremely high standards set by it's prequels, and the fact that it's the 3rd in the series so is never going to feel as fresh etc, then I believe it would have had a slightly higher rating than COD4. The basic game single/multiplayer game alone matches the likes of COD4 and Killzone 2 easily imo and things like Forge are just on a whole other level.

That's probably using a bit too much common sense and objective thinking for people in here mind you...

but for PC it's the battlefield games all the way. I've yet to try TF2.

I own all three games and here's my picks:

Single player:

1 .Halo 3 (best story, 4 player co-op, skulls)

2. COD4 (love the presentation of the cutscenes)

3. KZ2 (Pretty game, but lacks a story)

Multiplayer:

1. Halo 3 (no contest, H3 is the best MP that ive played on consoles, period)

2. COD4 (a close second, the second best MP game that ive played! MW2 does look very promising!!)

3. KZ2 (Gets stale fast, nobody talks, spawn grenade camping sucks!)

Halo 3. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is fun, but it gets boring from constint martydoms and the occasional grenade spamming. Killzone 2 was very fun at first, but got kind of stale to me.

Halo 3 provides the most things for players to do:

• 4 player co-op through the campaign
• Campaign scoring metagame
• Vehicles in multiplayer
• Of the 3, it has the most robust amount of multiplayer customization
• Forge
• Theater
• The ability to share pics/video clips/custom game types with the rest of the community
• A near-ridiculous amount of stat-tracking

I am not sure but it definitely isn't Killzone 2 for me. Call of Duty 4 and Halo 3 have something that Killzone 2 doesn't have and that's local split screen multiplayer. Pretty lame.

for me, SP experience goes to COD4. mp goes to Halo3.
