[QUOTE="KingOfKonging"]I also played Corruption, and I also used advanced scheme.
Locking on IS locking on on those advanced settings. I think you're getting lock on confused with auto aim.
The Z still lockson in Corruption even under that scheme, using advanced just gives you more option of where you can put your fire. The Wii struggles in FPS without lock on.
GundamGuy0
Eh? You lock on but can aim wherever you want? That's not really locking on at all, all it does if you lock on is let you straff around the enemy...
I don't see what straff lock has to do with aiming...
yes, that's still lock on. It KEEPS the enemy in your vision by locking the screen on to it. That's lock on.
Why would you EVER want to play an intense, graphically intensive shooter like Call of Duty on a Wii?
I want to play that in cutting edge 1080p with 7.1 surround sound.
Not on some underpowered, crappy Nintendo Wii with gimmicky controls...
Not to mention, the online will absolute suck on the Wii.
As you can see, I'm really not impressed by the Nintendo Wii in any way, shape, or form. Just sitting there and watching people play games like Wario Ware and Cooking Momma piss me off.
Give me Metal Gear Solid anyday.
[QUOTE="whocares4peace"][QUOTE="Son_of_Some"][QUOTE="whocares4peace"]Yea, just like the superior control scheme made the Wii version of CoD3 better than the 360 version.Oh wait, it didnt.
sexy_chimp
That's not the point. Wii is capable of havingthe best consolefps controls, therefore it kind of is ideal console for fps. CoD3 on the Wii had the same problems in the controlsas Red Steel, but the devs have learned and there are now games with better controls on the Wii.
Fine, even if the Wii version of CoD5 ends up having good controls, it still wont change the facts that the 360/ps3/pc version will be better.CoD is a game based on intense atmosphere and graphics, things which the Wii doesnt excel at.
Man, I love how people think atmosphere is based on how many pixels are in the game. Are you telling me no game before this gen had good atmosphere? If so, I'm guessing your first system was your 360?
On the contrary, i own a SNES,PS1,PS2,,xbox,Wii, and 360Theres such a thing as being good for its timeframe.Final Fantasy 7 was an awesome game with unparalled atmosphere back in the ps1 era. Now, it looks like trash.
The same rule applies to the Wii.

omg, teh 1080p and surround sound! none of this will ever compare to joining the army. never! its the best fps ever created. best graphics, insane multiplayer. the only downside is the lack of the ability to respawn

Yea, this may be hard to comprehend, but good graphics and sound do actually add to atmosphere. The majority of people don't have high def TVs and 7.1 surround sound anyway so it doesn't really matter. Though its not a huge difference from one grade lower anyway.

Sigh... this practically just confirmed that Treyarch are making it..
-Spock-
I take it you don't know the franchise works. Right now Infinity Ward does the even-numbered Call of Duty games and Treyarch does odd. It was announced a while back and I dunno how long it's going to carry on for. I thought Call of Duty 3 was one of the best in the series, so I'm not too worried about it :)

Why don't they just make two series so they have time to make the campaign more than 4 hours?
[QUOTE="Son_of_Some"][QUOTE="whocares4peace"]Who cares, no offence to the Wii, but its not really the ideal platform for games like CoD.whocares4peace
Yeah. Well, you know, Ãf you don't take the superior controls into consideration.

I don't think a game like MP3 can relate to the point that makes you feel like you are in the game. It's basically a futuristic-theme game that you can't relate to in real life. Right now is right now. We all know what modern is and feels like. COD3 with modern themes wants you to feel like you 'ARE' in the game with live scenarios.

i played cod4 on my friends 42 inch hdtv. i did not feel like i was in the game at all. not saying that i didnt have fun, because i did, especially in multiplayer, but even with its fantastic look, i just didnt feel like i was in the game. games dont really have that effect on me.

What does that have to do with the Wii? :| Please educate yourself. That is the fault of the developer.[QUOTE="GundamGuy0"][QUOTE="KingOfKonging"]MOH Wii has lock on.
KingOfKonging
I've not played it... but I find that very suprising... Somehow I think your confused.
Well, I have played it, and by far the most effective control scheme to use is the one which allows you to lock on using Z lock, it's on the lowest hardness setting.
Wii FPS are most effective when using lock on because of the nature of the controls.
Ever played Corruption? That had the same lock on deal.
wow I couldn't disagree more, that is the worst way to play
[QUOTE="JPOBS"]it goes without saying that the 360/ps3/pc versions will destroy it. sexy_chimp
Sure, however it's still third party support if true.

Sure! We know nothing about the game right now... yet it'll be destoryed!
Yay for Cristal Balls
You think the wii version will be as good?delusional.
You still play with dual analogue for first person shooters? Its horrible compared to MoHH2's controls in my opinion. Just saying. So maybe, just maybe there is a chance that Call of Duty will be more fun on the Wii. Depends on the developer though. Chances are you are right, but calling people delusional doesn't make any sense.

+1...
If they make COD5....i wount play another COD game untill COD6...Craparch freaking killed Cod 3...huge let down after COD 2
Yeah CoD 3 was kinda a letdown after a awesome CoD 2. Through it was still good. I not going to really mind if Treyarch is making it, but there better be a PC version.

That doesn't mean that Treyarch (who I'm sure is the dev of CoD5) will put the time and effort to ensure good Wii controls.
The Wii is not significantly more powerful than a gamecube. And I'm sure they drained every last drop compuational power out of that. So it's pretty doubtful that the Wii's graphics will get significantly better......or good enough to rival the 360 or PS3 at least.
Ga-ga-gasp!
Although I hate Call of Duty, it does help against the "no third party support" argument.
sexy_chimp
rrrr did you even read that story? at the end it states that no platforms have been announced or confirmed... way to use those comprehension skills.
Treyarch is making it, just like with CoD3. Still good, just don't expect CoD5 to be anything like 4.
cod2 was great, cod3 sucked, cod4 is amazing, cod5 will suck its going to be a crappy game with bad online just like number 3 was
There's a reason cod4 wasnt on the Wii, it would have just held back the other two (scaled back or eaten up too much development time). I really hope this isn't true. However i have no problem with another company porting it to the Wii.
360 will be 3 years old when this releases, and ps3 will also be really getting into its stride, theres no way the Wii will be capable of being even close to handling a game that these two should be putting out next year
cod4ownzzz
They did the same with Cod 4, anything that made one version drop below 60 FPS was removed, so you could say PS3 and 360 held back the PC version.
