Call of Duty evolved more than Halo 4

Well it is true that CoD HAS evolve more than Halo over the years. But CoD has pumped out far more games. If you just looked at the changes between CoD 1-4 and Halo 1-4, it would not be so clear. In any case, they're both derivative, cyclical FPS games that pale in comparison to offerings on the PC.

Black Ops 2 is just a more competitive version of the past games. Although I love Halo very much, I disagree strongly about the changes 343i are adding. Armor mods?!? Ordanance drops??? SPECIALIZATIONS!!!? Why do they keep trying to turn Halo into into a classbased shooter? I wish they would just add changes that would follow the original Halo formula.

Not at all. From Halo 2 to Halo: Reach, Bungie added: dual wield, armor upgrades, the forge, firefight, revamped heath/shield system, Waypoint, more weapons/vehicles, and vertical multiplayer maps (to name a few). What as CoD added besides a class-ranking system and more weapons (which Halo 4 will have)?

I'll wait to play them before making a decision on that. As of now, I would say that CoD evolved more from 1-4 then Halo did from 1-3. I know nothing really about Halo 4 or BO2 and I don't have a crystal ball so I will wait and see.

Even though I am a Big Halo fan I think both games have evolved at a pretty decent pace. If Halo is adding COD type elements to go with their own innovations I am fine with it as long as it still looks and plays like Halo.

Threads like this just shows how much of a factor Halo has in this industy. PC gamers have those games. Nintendo has those games. Cows are the only group that does not have that game that is head and shoulders above everything else except the flash in the pan Dude Raider clone.

Halo has never evolved. At first it was a giant piece of crap and now it's still a giant piece of crap. Atleast Call of Duty 1, Call of Duty: United Offensive, Call of Duty 2 were great games.

Halo IS combat evolved, and each sequel adds a plethora of interesting features and game mechanics.... COD on the other hand is a cash grab re-release of the same game every single year with just few new weapons and they slap on a new title. To say that COD has changed more than Halo and that every game in the franchise is crap makes you sound really naive.

I agree completely, and to say people don't use A.A.'s in reach is mind boggling. The game also changed player speed, jump height, player momentum, added bloom, just to name a few differences between H3 and Reach.... they play like completely diffrerent games to returning Halo players.
