so for a single downloadable level the gameplay is going to change.
seems like a good idea.

I like the idea of dynamic maps, but it's always scripted so the outcome is 100% predictable.
For it to be an interesting mechanic, they'd need to consult the L4D guys, because those guys came up with a sweet formula that includes variables.
The BF4 counterpart may be impressive in its scope and technical capability, but in terms of gameplay it's not ground-breaking. I don't get why BF is appealing in the first place anyway, the size of the maps means slower pace and you have to run alot just to reach a choke point. It makes gameplay more boring.
You have to run about 20 seconds max if the round has started, because you can create spawns or spawn at squad or spawn at points about to be taken.I like the idea of dynamic maps, but it's always scripted so the outcome is 100% predictable.

Warfare is supposed to be slow paced. That is what I hate most about CoD. The maps are so fvcking small there is no room to manuever.I like the idea of dynamic maps, but it's always scripted so the outcome is 100% predictable.

Maybe when we had muskets and horses But now that we have machine guns, missiles, airplanes and tanks its a lot faster paced.[QUOTE="SuperFlakeman"]

Not only is it being touted as an innovation, but they are selling it as pre-order DLC.foxhound_fox
This thread is about Call of Duty, the shooter.
So why is everybody talking about Cod and fish? I mean yeah cod is pretty tasty with butter but u guise, it's off topic.

In real life a squad can be pinned down by a sniper for hours. Having better weapons doesn't make people want to get in the way of danger more.[QUOTE="SuperFlakeman"]

It will probably look the same as when someone loses at Jenga

lol you're probably right.
You're both wrong, physics is something that isn't known to CoD. You can explode RED barrels, cars (which are essentially red barrels) and break windows=Call of Duty 2013 physics.[QUOTE="ConanTheStoner"]

I mean games on N64 had better ones wtf. But they find time to make it so fish moves out the way. I swear its the same team who is making CoD Ghost that is in charge of Xbone marketing, mega fail in both sides.[QUOTE="ConanTheStoner"]

CoD still playing catch up in the tech department
_Matt_
They will probably never catch up. Their new engine is already more dated than Frostbite.
the secret sauce is, their fanbase don't even know what Frsotbite is so yeaaaah[QUOTE="_Matt_"]

Nobody who still plays Battlefield 3 daily is doing so because it looks nice.[QUOTE="DragonfireXZ95"]How else is everyone going to experience destructible environments? Nobody buys BF games. Lol That's good, it keeps the idiots out of Battlefield; stick them in Call of Duty where they belong.Gee, why don't you copy Battlefield more, Call of Duty?
If it's true, I can't wait to see how glitchy it is.

I think that it sounds pretty cool. I can't stand the way BF4 plays so I'm excited that this is happening with CODWadeFan>Can't stand the way BF4 plays >BF4 isn't even out. Wut?

It may or may not. I know perks are changed along with new weapons, counter-knifing, different vehicles are added, commanders are in again, also, skyscrapers collapsing?
How is this not different, again?
People said the same shit about Bad Company 2 to Battlefield 4. Usually people who said that were completely ignorant.
I'll admit the bold doesn't change much, but compare that to Call of Duty. How much shit changes from game to game in the Call of Duty series?
COD's specialty is scripted events. Now when they can show me real time destruction along the lines of BF: BC or even Red Faction then I might consider buying another COD game. Maybe next next gen Activision will finally be up to last gen's standards. But I doubt it LOL.

Was I defending CoD? You asked him how he knew what BF4 plays like, and at it's core I doubt the gameplay will have changed. Yes commander mode should hopefully add a bit more strategy to the game, but if you don't like the gunplay or using vehicles then it still won't be for you. I wasn't bashing the game I don't expect every game to suddenly change the entire way it plays every game, I was just pointing out why he probably felt that wayYep. Although in their eyes they're set to "raise the bar again" from that press release, first few sentences  COD has never raised any bar aside from amount of online mp popularity.CoD still playing catch up in the tech department

Its funny because its 1000% true. This is all brogamers that play CoD think and i know 2 personally (one of them plays CoD only and doesn't touch other games at all) and all they do is blame LAG/HOST/CAMPERS/TEAM/UAV/STUN AND FLASH NADES/NOOBTUBE all f*cking day since MW2. From 09-2013 same excuses... like stop playing the fking game if CoD lags that much but nooooo every next CoD comes out they gotta buy it hoping everything will suddenly change
