Call Of Duty In Space

Popular well loved game no one has any issues with is getting another sequel. in space, not cashing in on Starwars, as that would be lazy opportunism.

"2016's Call of Duty will offer space combat between warring sci-fi groups in the far flung future.

Previous entries in the series such as Advanced Warfare and Black Ops 3 have strayed into the near-future, but this year's Call of Duty will be firmly placed in sci-fi territory.

First details of the game appeared online over the weekend, from serial industry source Shinobi. The information tallies with reports Eurogamer has independently heard.

The game is being developed by Infinity Ward and is not a direct sequel of its previous Call of Duty effort, Ghosts, which received a mixed response.

That said, we're hoping a descendant of Colin the dog makes an appearance.

Call of Duty is expected to launch this November for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and go up against EA's own shooter effort Battlefield 5. Both games' releases will be bookended by two other sci-fi shooters - the mech-based Titanfall 2, likely set to arrive in early autumn, and BioWare's role-playing sequel Mass Effect: Andromeda, due in early 2017."

Hey, since there's no stopping the CoD franchise since it's still going strong, I can at least respect them for being creative with it. Straying outside of the typical jingoistic shoot-all-the-brown-people romp does entail a certain amount of risk after all.

Calling it now. COD in space. We stop invading countries on Earth and start invading:

1) Space colonies

2) Alien Worlds

3) Terrorist Asteroid bases

This is the most exciting thing they could do! I love the far future/space setting.

Both Halo and Killzone has been doing this for decades and this is proof that Activision ran out of ideas and don't wanna go back to WW2.

So now we will get Space Supply Drops with %1 chance of getting a Space Weapon that wont be included in Space Season Pass. What will be including in Space Season Pass though is 4 boring maps with its own separate map rotation for just 59 American Earth Dollars.

I love space! I think it's excellent news.

Sounds interesting but they will probably screw it up by copying same mechanics and doing Sci Fi paint job in it. Highly doubt there will be cool sci fi gadgets even if there are, we'll only use them when the game will say "Press F for Farts".

There taking Call of Duty to a whole new level of stupidity.I missed the day's of WW2 and Modern Warfare.I'm sure Battlefield 5 is going to dominate in sales this time around.

Why does everything end up in space... I find it funny when all the crappy horror films end up in space when they run out of ideas.

I only get the Treyarch COD's cause of the zombies mode. Here's to hoping they make another WW2 one someday.... or World at War comes to Xbone through BC

Do you think Ghosts was the worst COD ever? I am beginning to think it is. Though I still don't know what I think of Black Ops 3.

didn't call of duty start out as, at least, an attempt by the games industry to remember and respect those who fought and died in WW2? or was that MOH?

yea i'm calling bullshit on this, there are rumors ranging from bloodlines/ghosts 2 to mw collection. i think both of those are far more probable.

Its about time Activision sends COD franchise truly over to space and forget all about it lol.

It's one of the worst ever. I think it and COD3 were easily the worst CODs. Black Ops 3 isn't so bad, it's got a boring campaign but the MP is actually okay.

Nope, the COD that came before COD4, this one....

It came out in 2006, it was so shit that most people don't remember it.

So basically it'll be the exact same cut & paste gameplay from the last 10 games, except you'll shoot lasers now.

Meh, I'll buy which ever CoD or BF game returns to a WW1/WW2 setting first. Otherwise, I'll pass.

they will never stop making COD. same as assassins creed, battleifled and other rehashes year by year again.

I bet our future generation of children will also sick of COD because its not going anywhere. they will still use "modified" quake 3 engine again and again in next 20 years.

I won't be buying it, I prefer to not fight in space, will be getting BF5.

Still waiting for the inventible Call of Duty: Time Squad game to be made.

Everyone will forget about Call of Doody the moment Titanfall's sequel sees a better embraced simultantious multiplatform release. Two game releases after the original Titanfall and the best Call of Dookie can muster is copying Titanfall's wall running, with no fucking Titans, what a waste of potential.

I'm sure peeps will love it on the PS4 and Xbone
