Standards.
True dat.I'd rather play a competitive shooter with 15,000 men and women instead of 7 million kids.
EDIT: I suppose it's hugely arguable if CoD is even considered competitive. Meh, I'll let this one slip.

Agreed. It actually seems most people hype BF3 just because they "hate" CoD to be "cool". They are probably not even going to buy BF3. :SLook at you nerds swabble for bashing COD guess what? it will still sale more than BF. But notice how you dont see Cod fans bashing BF... its because BF needs defending while Cod steams past.

Yeah, go ahead and make things up. Who cares whom you play with? It's the game that's important: slow, boring gameplay where everybody camps with a sniper rifle in the bushes, and where it takes 2 hours to down guy, or a fast, intense, action-packed game that requires your utmost attention and needs you to be on the move all the time...I'd rather play a competitive shooter with 15,000 men and women instead of 7 million kids.

Why do people feel the need to insult the entire COD fanbase? Why does it hurt them so much that there are many who do enjoy the game? ...and even if some of them are kids, werent you once a kid too?? I dont get it, I really dont. This strong passionate hate for COD, people are really bitter over this franchise...

Its because BF needs defending while Cod just steams rolls past no competition it's also why EA bashes Cod every second to make themselves feel better but come launch it wont be close. Why do people feel the need to insult the entire COD fanbase? It's counted in "active users", which is pathetic IMO.[QUOTE="ethanradd"]

WTF, you bash BF in your own post :s
and the TC said this:
The Battlefield franchise has less than 15,000 daily users online. :lol:CallOfDutyXxX
So what you say makes no sense at all.

People don't hate things because hating is cool, what a weak argument.

I only compared with other shooters, to give you a better view of things. Is it wrong to compare, suddenly? Stop the blind hating, it's getting annoying.[QUOTE="Lucianu"]

I have played them all, but what do you care. You are going to blindly defend it anyway and back up all you're arguments with 'TEH 7 MILLIONZ'.
I'm going to go listen to Justin Bieber now because since that is the most popular music now, it has to be the best right ?

Congratulations to Activisions and the various teams behind the COD franchise.
I however feel the COD series is but one of the many stale shooters available, perhaps the best of a bad bunch.
Battlefield has always been superior, even if it's not reflected in sales.

What else do I need to prove? It's so popular because its multiplayer is the best, most addictive, balanced and interesting of them all. People got tired of CS and Halo; IW came and introduced the revolutionary perks, killstreaks, killcams, XP reward system etc., and they're constantly trying to improve on it and to bring forth new features. What else is there to say? It's an unstoppable phenomenon.[QUOTE="CallOfDutyXxX"]CoD has more daily players than every Blizzard product put together unless Blizzard states otherwise, continue the hating...edidili
Starcraft on Korea alone will crush that number :D
The SC series hasn't even sold 7 million in Korea. ;-) The first one did 5 million and SC2 flopped in sales (as far as I'm concerned?).[QUOTE="Lucianu"][QUOTE="CallOfDutyXxX"] "Same game"? Wow, the hating is strong in this one. 7 million gamers disagree with you.CallOfDutyXxX

The SC series hasn't even sold 7 million in Korea. ;-) The first one did 5 million and SC2 flopped in sales (as far as I'm concerned?). starcraft 2 wiki On August 3, 2010, Blizzard announced that StarCraft II sold more than one million units worldwide within one day of its release. After two days, when Blizzard began selling the game as a digital download on its website, approximately 500,000 additional units of the game were sold, bringing the total up to 1.5 million worldwide and making it the fastest-selling strategy game of all time.[79] In its first month on sale, StarCraft II sold a total of three million copies worldwide.[12] As of December 2010, the game has sold nearly 4.5 million units.[80] The game was also heavily pirated, reportedly being downloaded over 2.3 million times, and setting a record for most data transferred by a single torrent in only three months.[81] you sir are owned and should stay quiet.[QUOTE="CallOfDutyXxX"]CoD has more daily players than every Blizzard product put together unless Blizzard states otherwise, continue the hating...edidili

Argument against the well none points brought by the ones that hate CoD. You're not doing the fanbase any justice by simply proclaiming CoD as the greatest, you're making them look far worse by heavily ignoring anyone that disagrees with you, and making horrible assumptions that are not proven by anything (such as all Blizzard games combined not touching the daily players of CoD?).
This is a cycle that i've seen all the time in various sites. Why won't you be the first that breaks that cycle, man.
I assume it goes like this
Black Ops ~ 3.5 million daily gamers (almost half being on 360)
MW2 ~ 3 million daily gamers
every other COD ~ 500K
I still believe WoW has more than all Black Ops versions combined. with 13 million people playing actively, they aren't just people who spend 2 hours a week playing (like half of COD fanbase) they're spending 12-14 hours a day, every day.
Starcraft on Korea alone will crush that number :D
