I've been saying it. Wiiu sales will rise, nintendo will return as the console king, sony and microsoft will implode, and gamers craving the latest tech will build pcs.

In addition to that, I've also been saying that gamespot will try and earn some credibility back by ways of more balanced reviews and featuring said pc format, AND that companies would start stressing pc cases.

Are people interested in this sort of thing?

PC cases have improved year on year now. Gone are the days of massive towers with loud fans. These days, its all about quiet computing.

without a gimmick to attract the casuals or 3rd party support to attract those that take games more seriously Nintendo will forever be in last place in the console race. They have a monopoly with the handheld gaming, they literally have all the most popular games releasing exclusively on their system but I don't think they will ever be able to pull off something like that on consoles. The Wii U is just too weak for 3rd party's, the system too traditional for casuals, it lacks many services and even basic features like HDD to survive the coming to a digital age.

Wait, I will check the link, but from what I have seen in this thread, this guy isn't claiming the death of PS4 and X1 because of overpriced pc's with compact frame cases and/or the WiiU is he?

Why are most PC elitists on this board so threatened by consoles?

Seriously, I want to know. They cluck like hens proclaiming the superiority of PC's whenever a Digital Foundry test comes out. A $2-3K PC is always going to beat consoles, and the margin of ownage will only increase as the years go by. Hell, they were already obsolete when they were unveiled. All except the most insane console fanboys acknowledge this and have made peace with it.

Only hardcore console fanboys do that. If you have the money and patience to be a PC gamer by all means go for it.

I'm not even going to lie and pretend I'm not a little jealous of PC exclusives. I'm a big strategy and space flight sim fan. 2 genres that I sincerely hope get more attention on current gen consoles.

You´ll see more PC fanboys on SW because the PC is the dominant platform on these forums(as with many,if not most others),console fanboys are a little less in numbers these days but considering some threads and discussions they make around here,they seem considerably dumber,so that´s maybe hy they stand out so much I guess.

Also,the tc is pretty much a well known console fanboy and generally anti PC most of the time,so I dont see why you even brought this up.

When you aren't part of a fanbase, and make gross generalizations about that fanbase, yeah it's usually wrong.

My point is that big AAA console titles aren't getting the boosted reviews here and pc features such as this are popping up on the site. Gaming is huge--people are in the know, people search for best products, best bang for the buck, and at the highest quality. Considering visuals, particularly resolution seems to be so popular, people will see that for X amount of dollars you don't have to worry about such and such. If there is a console crowd that decides to venture to pc, it will affect the xbox and playstion brand. This is where wiiu factors in--in the sense that in a year or two the console will drop 50 dollars, have massive amounts of classic games including zelda, and appear more enticing to just about everyone.
