Calling all CoD haters!

Just wondering, when was the last time you actually played a CoD game? I mean the last one you really invested time in.

I noticed that everyone (myself included) rips on CoD constantly for being a noob fps, rehash, garbage, etc.

But to be honest I haven't seriously invested time in a CoD game since 4. I only tried MW2 and Blops for about a couple of hours each. In all honesty I have no basis for my CoD hate besides hear say.

So what is the last CoD you played and if you do bash the series do you feel you even have the right to at this point?

One of the most annoying aspects of SW for me is debating against people who obviously have not played a game, but continually try to tell me its crap or rehashed. I've had people tell me that SMG2 is the same damn Mario I've been playing for 20 years. :lol:

I realized I'm kind of being one of those guys regarding CoD.

I don't necessarily hate Call of Duty, but I have grown rather tired of their games. I presitged 5 or 6 times in CoD4, 1 or 2 times in WaW, 4 times in Mw2, and made it to level 30 on Black Ops before I called it quits. And it took me until July 2011 to reach level 30 on Blops. :|

It's just gotten a little boring to me is all.

Who can really say anything to you about it? Obviously the games are immensely popular. You arent the only one enjoying MW3, thats for sure.

I put about 2 hours into Black Ops when they had a free weekend for it on Steam. Does that count? After those 2 hours I didn't want to continue playing, it was so awful.

Last I played was MW 3. I'm only a MW 2 and 3 hater. And then, only the competitive multiplayer.

I've been playing the series from the very start, its been so sad watching the multiplayer deteriorate since WaW.

The last one I seriously played was 4. I played so much Call of Duty 4 it probably wasn't healthy. I've at least tried all the once since through friends and such, and don't feel like I've missed out on anything impressive. They just broke the multiplayer more or so it seems. It certainly hasn't changed much at all.

blops,i bashed it then and bashed it now,it's a yearly rehash when most of it can be dlc(witch all is over priced 15$ for 3 maps?) it's community is full of F bombing 8-13 year old kids and most of the community is very immature,the game alone is just fine

Discussing games is quite productive. Some of us here actually have proper intellectual discussions here, and I learn quite a bit, as I'm a modder, and I aspire to be make games. Never liked COD, tried a few games, didn't connect, as with most military FPS games.
But unlike most people, I don't hate the game and bash it.

I've played all of them, and none of them are the same. Some are better than other though, and thats why I'm still playing the best one :cool: Nothing will ever beat COD4 online on the PC. At 1st glance to a casual player they may be the same, but if you played the game for more than 100-200 hours the play and feel for the game are not the same. Yes the game have gotten worse since COD4, MW3 is not as bad as MW2, but the game is just a shell of its former self.

I beat CoD4 twice and played a few hours worth of multiplayer, so that's the last one I really invested time in. I did play the first few levels on both WaW and MW2, though.

It'snot like that beer is gonna get you laid, or that when you wash clothes with 99.99% less stains will make you're children love you. It's not like in you're beloved Battlefield 3, anyone can just hop into a tank when the feel like it, or a helicopter, without hours of practice and training.

I played CoDs 2, 3 and 4. I enjoyed 2, despised 3 and loved 4. After I was done with 4 I just got burnt on fps games. I don't actively go around hating on CoD, I just stopped playing them and from what I hear, its for the better.

Most commercials are awful. I never compared any commercials. I'm not even talking about the game in that commercial, I was only talking about the commercial itself. It's like that one DirectTV commercial, with the robots fighting. Clearly pointless and stupid.

I wasn't really nitpicking the story in the commercial, more so the unrealistic-ness of the actual military portrayed in that commercial.

I criticize everything like that, whether it be to bad Michael Bay movies or pointless action with no real rhyme or reason. This generation has severely disappointed me with it's ADHD attitude and kids being stupid in every conceivable way they can think of. I'm really glad I'm not part of it directly, however indirectly, it does affect me, therefore I criticize it.

Also, you still failed to tell me why my hate for CoD is irrational. I played the games, I hated them, how is that so irrational?

All the ad does in the end, is portray that the jeep is one tough mofo. Though myself, would never buy a Jeep with MW3 branding on it, the ad is fine. Portraying the military unrealisticly doesn't make a bad ad. If it "realisticly" portrayed the military, the ad would have been a bore. No one would want to watch it

Played 4 a lot, played WaW for maybe like 15 hours. Had like 2 days on MW2 untill i realized how bad it was.

I hate cookie cutter shooting galleries like COD and GeOW as a whole.

I just think they're boring and have hardly any skill involved.

Black Ops. I don't plan on buying any other COD game.

MW3 only because Raven supposedly had a hand in development. I didn't see a single shred of Raven-quality in that pile of crap.

I played a lot of Black Ops with my friends online. Worst community I've ever seen.
