I'm also calling it'll dethrone ocarina in time as one of the highest rated games of all time.
I'm also calling it will win GOTY. Only thing that could dethrone it is the new Mario.

"too much water, 7/10."
Na but for real I could see it doing pretty well if they look at SS and go "hey that was nice, but this time lets do a Zelda where we don't completely **** everything up."
11/10 bro. Shit is going to wake people up in the morning like Folgers in your cup.
Well after GS gave OoT, WW and even A link between worlds Goty, it does seem to have a big chance, especially since the previous were positive so far.
I'd love for it to get a 10/10 but I think GS will give it a 9 to piss people off. I'm expecting IGN, however, to give it a 7.8/10 for too much open world.
What is BOTW?
and GS tends to overrates nintendo games out of novelty and historical tides
Pretty sure it's either Sonyspot or there is no bias.
No way they are biased towards ninty. Just Lol.
Possibly, but GS was not too keen on Skyward Sword, which got a 7. Plus the fact Witcher 3 has released and raised the bar. But I have no doubt that many sites around the net are going to do a circle jerk for Zelda because it's Zelda and it will garner many 10s.
Cons:
Not cinematic enough
no enough walking or climbing
not emotional enough
not enough cut scenes
story makes sense
6/10
@thedork_knight:
I generally don't really agree with Gamespot's reviewers.
Last year, MGSV was awarded a 10/10 but I found that game rather boring. On the other hand, they offered Shovel Knight a 7/10 which I absolutely love.
It's all a matter of opinion but I typically don't read GS reviews. I don't think they really offer me any insight, personally.
@MirkoS77: Yes, but mechanically, it looks like BotW will do the same. It is basically integrating the open world and making it a core mechanic. No other game so far has done that.

Nothing can dethrone oot really.
music was 10/10 ( totally beautiful and memorable )
gameplay was 10/10 ( absolutely amazing )
graphics was 10/10 ( absolutely stunning visuals back in the day, never seen before )
Content 10/10, loads of content even had a full fletched fish game in it.
But then again, some people gave DS games 10/10 visually. So yea, game media isn't like it used to be rofl.

Oh it'll be on PC alright.
I'm trying to watch as little Zelda footage as possible so can only go by what I've seen (which isn't much), but I don't think the game will score a perfect 10 here. I have a feeling Mario Odyssey will though.. And will also win GOTY.
Also, it will be interesting to see if wiiu and switch versions will get different scores. Im getting it on wiiu.

That's why the last console Zelda got a 7.5/10 here.
Because once in a while, GS gets it right
The game will bring out a ton of ad revenue. SS got a 10/10 on IGN so i wouldn't be surprised if it got a 10 here AND ign...
I think it'll get a 9/10 from GS and from IGN it'll get a 9.4/10. The world being kinda empty and the graphics looking the way it does could drag down the score.
I remember the good old days when Twilight Princess got the infamous 8.9 score.
Anyways I was just posting to bookmark this thread for future entertainment when I eat my popcorn.
You're delusional. It looks good but doesn't look that good. 8-9 with a high 80s MC is probably the most realistic outcome.
Most of the mechanics we've seen shown off in the trailer aren't anything new. The game is mostly borrowing aspects from past games and other open world games, applying it to Zelda, and polishing it to a shine. That's not a bad thing, but the reason why Ocarina of Time is regarded so highly is because it was breaking ground in the genre ontop of being extremely well polished.
To be regarded as one of the best games ever made you can't just polish existing mechanics to a shine. You gotta break some ground somewhere.
GTA V polished the mechanics of the series to an absolute shine and was highly regarded. However nobody really calls it one of the best games ever made simply because it really wasn't anything unprecedented in any one area.
The only big budget, upcoming game that really has the potential to be considered one of the best ever is Squardon 42 and Star Citizen. The only reason I say that is because they have the time, budget, and freedom to make bold design choices that, if they come together, could be something extremely special and really groundbreaking. However I'm not betting on it being considered one of the best ever. I'm not saying it's gonna get 10/10s and whatnot because that's just silly. I'm just saying that out of all of the big upcoming games, it's probably got the most overall promise. It just has to deliver.
While Breath of the Wild looks stellar, it's really playing it safe in terms of mechanics. That's fine, but lower your score expectations a bit.
