Can anybody tell me the reason why "every year is the year of the PC"

Consolite damage control is getting more desperate every week. Apparently we've hit a point in time, when deep inside they realize how obsolete last gen consoles are.

There are awesome games on each system, but the simple fact that console fans (that usually demean other consoles) suddenly feel the need to band up to make up some fancy "PC sucks" threads indicates that PC is very far away ahead indeed...

I don't understand how you can prove a point one way or another. To determine which system has the best games, you need to determine which games you prefer. Anyone (like me) considering strategy games are one of the major genres of gaming can't overlook the PC. Then if you like simulations, same business... On the other hand, if you're fond of platform games, Nintendo all the way...

I've often see topics with '' Year of the PS3 ''... I'm not sure if there was a one point X360, never seen Wii.

Highest amount of AAA/AA/A exclusives as well as having the most exclusives overall. Therefore, every year is the year of the PC.

The largest number of releases that are high-rated exclusives. Same way we do it for any other platform, but usually the others kinda fall behind the PC.

Because us cool and attractive PC gamers like to share our enthusiasm.

Warhead was a different game. Regardless it was nominated, why would you nominate it and then not give it to the best?

What about Metro 2033 with DX11 + Tesselation? It CRUSHES GOW III in graphics but it didn't win it in 2010.

To some it does. That's why you have some ignorant console gamers who uses MGS4 winning in 2008 over Crysis Warhead as proof that MGS4 looks better than Crysis/Crysis Warhead, which is LAUGHABLE. I played MGS4 on my PS3, it has horrible textures and unimpressive graphics, there's a NIGHT and DAY difference between Crysis Warhead running in ENTHUSIASTS settings in FULL HD 1080P, makes MGS4 look like child's play.

MGS4 was the worst MG game hands down

PS3AAAe = 8, AAe = 18, Ae = 17
360AAAe = 8, AAe = 17, Ae = 18

and yes having so many AAE and AE is a good think because it increase variety.

and the only AAAAE game is this MGS4 that is 70% cutscenes, that game it doesn't deserve more than 3/10 because it is offer 30% gameplay.

So one game defines an entire year just because it's named GOTY? Why not have a number of high-scoring games determing the quality of the system? Which is the way the winner of each year is actually defined here.
