I have a 360 and PS3. I bought my PS3 in October and my 360 almost 2 years ago. Im trying to defend both consoles but everytime thers a 360 v.s PS3 discussion I always seem to be defending the 360 not the PS3. Is it because I owned the 360 before the PS3 or am I just a Microsoft fanboy?

I don't think you have to be a fanboy to appreciate one product ove the other. I like apple juice more than I like orange juice but that hardly makes me an apple juice fanboy. It just depends on your experience with the product and how it catered to your individual needs. You shouldn't have to like a console solely because you think that you're supposed to.

And if you like the 360 more than the PS3 then thats cool. That doesn't mean you can't enjoy the PS3 as well ... its just your preference. The beauty of the whole thing is that its up to YOU ... so choose however you see fit :).

I am kinda the same way. The 360 is my favorite console and I find it difficult not to defend it from rabid fanboys. Of course I will defend my PS3 too from rabid fanboys as well, it just seems that the cows attack more.

Most likely you're just arguing for the truth as opposed to the false information spread by Sony and MS fans to support their console.

Did you ever consider the possibly that the 360 may be the superior product - based on your particular gaming tastes? Combined that with actual observer bias (ie - you may prefer the 360 due to some X-factor - a game, more friends having it, or whatnot ) and you've got a likely answer.

-

Fanboyism is the illogical reverence for a brand. It's people who will call the Wii the "FPS champion". Then when someone points out the lack of an online community, they will go out of their way to look for a Wii online game (even if they don't own one) to try and create an argument. That person doesn't *genuinely* enjoy online FPS games on the Wii, they're simply looking for something to justify the belief they already had due to brand loyalty.

-

Whereas, in your case, if you simply prefer your 360 over your PS3 - well, I think that's just a normal opinion.

It's not just you, I see plenty of multi-console owners on here who only ever side with 1 console. When I first joined the site, I defended the PS3 more than the 360. But now I'd say it's pretty much 50/50.

It might be because you don't want to be associated with being a cow as they often times embarrass themselves and are frequently self-owned.

Not saying the other sides don't either. It just seems cows do it more often than Sheep, Lemmings, or Hermits.

Yeah we all act like fanboys at one stage or another, I do it for the laugh.

I think the 360 has games you like more than what the PS3 has.
