I am sure that all gamers can easily SEE the difference between 30 fps and 60 fps. The question is whether gamers CARE about it.

Personally I prefer 30 fps and 4k in first person shooters and most other genres. However in sports games such as NHL it MUST run at 60 fps or it ruins the experience.

I can readily tell the difference between 30 and 60. I just don't care.

I think most console gamers don't know what fps is.

That should answer your question.

30 FPS is superior as it is closer to the 25 FPS film gold standard. Life moves at 25 FPS and anything above it is unnaturally fluid... like rubbing butter in your eyes.

LOL

...you are joking, right?

@pmanden: You prefer 30fps in FPS? Why? Don't get me wrong if its a solid 30 fps lime Destiny it plays great, but 60 is still better.

But it's so... dumb. I refuse to believe people smart enough to spell to be that dumb. Unless it's just stupidity, it's a very effective troll post.

Preferring 30 fps over 60 wasn't what I was calling dumb..

@vfighter: I have become so used to 30fps that 60 fps almost seem too smooth to me. Too unatural in a way. The same goes for movies - I don't like watching them in 50 or 60 fps, I prefer the 30 fps look.

Maybe that doesn't make much sense to you, but that's honestly how I feel. I am also an old gamer (well above 40 at least), so I don't play super fast competitive multi-players games.
