Because there is more to this world than just the good ol' USA.

but we have no numbers for the rest of the world... so how could we possibly know?

We have numbers for at least Japan, and if you just use those two sales numbers Ps3 is catching up by a pretty good margin. And that's without even taking Europe into the conversation.[QUOTE="Chutebox"]

And yet when I look out my bedroom window I only see the USA, and nothing else.
Damn... too much Facebook, I just looked for the "like" button on this comment
Apparently PS3 is outselling 360 worldwide... according to fanboys on SW's anyway. I've never seen any credible links given though to support that.
The fact that the PS3 is struggling to catch up to 2nd place this gen, is PURE FAIL, considering where Sony was sitting at the end of last gen.
I expect the PS3 to have outsold the 360 by the time all is said and done... but by then I think I'll have a XBOX NEXT sitting in my living room.

Because, according to numbers released by the companies themselves (whenever they like doing it), the gap has been closing. If I remember correctly, the only time 360 has widened the gap since Ps3 was released was when they lowered the price before slim came out.Im willing to bet my last n%t that we dont now...NOR will we ever know the exact numbers of anything. Consoles, cars, cereal,Ipads you name it...we will not know the exact honest numbers. I dont care if "THIS" company says its legit on its numbers or not...
I would say that a LOT of the numbers are from replacement consoles, refurbs. People going and buying 2.3.4 consoles to replace thier broken ones. I just dont buy any of the crap. sorry...
My opinon...IM sure...Wii is in the lead. 360 is next...then PS3. Exact numbers? who knows and who really cares. They will ALL come back next gen BUT IM NOT. Never though I would say this...but im going full PC next gen. I just dont play enough these days to warrant spending all my money like I have for nearly 30 years.

I'd put serious money that by the end of next gen, you will have at least 1 console.
The only reason the 360 is aparently selling better is because people keep on having to buy new ones cause they keep breaking down :P At the very least my friends gone through 8 360s all from different 360 bundles. Or maby microsoft counts repairing them as a sale in they're sales statistics.Lable1985
your friend is an idiot
also no, Microsoft doesn't count free warranty consoles as sales, if they did, they would be forced to count them as a total loss

lol I know. btw I was only kidding bout the Microsoft counting thing. Though I can say right now that I'm seeing the ps3 being more popular than the 360 on the internet however that doesn't account for the millions who don't care about chating over this stuff, and would consider MAG as a equal to MW2 due to their unhardcore nature, and what not.[QUOTE="Chutebox"]

I think there was a study released by Nintendo which clearly shows Sony outselling the 360 in Europe (until 2007 or 2008 I can't remember). Anyone has that?[QUOTE="88mphSlayer"][QUOTE="Lable1985"]The only reason the 360 is aparently selling better is because people keep on having to buy new ones cause they keep breaking down :P At the very least my friends gone through 8 360s all from different 360 bundles.
