Sony can deny them the license to Blu-ray and who wants to own a console that doesn't play used games.

Sony is only one member of the 18 members of BDA's board of directors. And BDA have asked Microsoft to join them and have said several times that they'd welcome MS to join them.

Anyhoo, who is to say what MS will use since the launch of their new console is still a ways off. Heck, they may use their own proprietary optical disk for all we know.

I dunno, I myself am not immediately apposed to something like this if it works well delivers some fun times since there's loads & loads of serious gaming and sometimes this stuff is a nice break away from that.

Firstly, was just pointing out a possibility as I do think chances are good MS will use the Br but.. The point you make has lost almost all validity since the DC days with the advent of DD / streaming netflix and the like - I haven't rented or purchased a movie on disk in years. :P

I don't care what MS does next gen honestly. I find they nickel and dime thier consumers too damn much to be worthy of my purchase. I think it will have new exclusives though, MS is probably making them for the next system and that's the reason why we arn't seeing them on the 360, it only makes sense.

But the Xbox brand doesn't really interst me too much and I like Playstation games more, just my preference.

Wrong. Blu-Ray is not Sony's property or their technology. It's the BDA's.
