Can someone explain to me why FOLIAGE is so funny around here?

In several topics, I see people that mention foliage when talking about graphics kings and whatnot, and then there's often several people that laugh. Yet, when I see it I get the feeling I'm missing out on some running joke or something.

Can someone explain the punchline or what's so funny about about Foliage? What's the story?

Was it about alan wake or Fable 2? I remember alan wake was jacket and fable 2 was the leaves on the trees but I can't remember where foliage came from lol

Actually no. What actually happened was Saolin134 (or some arrangement of thos numbers) came onto the board with his pro 360 attitude and his obssessively annoying Fable obseession. He kept comparing the foiliage of Fable 2 and its "120,000" leaves that only were rivaled by Crysis and how amazing the game was. It was amazing but then he got ban. Of course he has had several equally annoying but progresssively less entertaining alt accounts.

Didn't you know? Foliage is sacred these days since it comes so few and far between. 99% of games this gen are nothing but grey or brown and there is no lovely green foliage to be seen. Everybody got so sick of it, so now only games with foliage are worth our time and only they matter. Therefore, before hyping ANY game around here, one must ask

Also he hated linear design. These characteristics among some others give him up when he uses his alt accounts.

No it's still an older one. I believe theseeker was his second or third account. Obamanian was the other "famous" one that he had. I'm sure he started the foliage thing while being Saolin and with the leaves of Fable 2.
