K, to all those confused about the Bungie situation: Bungie is still on good terms with Microsoft, they just don't HAVE to make 360 exclusive games. And Microsoft themselves owns the Halo license. Bungie could start making tons of PS3 exclusives hypothetically (though they'd have no reason to start burning bridges) and Microsoft could hire freaking EA Sports to make Halo 4, but it won't happen.
FF13 was HUGE. Some kid posted it on the IGN boards before IGN did and everyone I knew thought he must be trolling.
Here's why I like Microsoft's conferences more. They talk about stuff that will all happen either this year or VERY EARLY next year (except for Final Fantasy, but they already had Square Enix people up there so that was logical). All the stuff for next year/the year after is still talked about, but not at the Microsoft conference. What was Sony's conference last year? Home and Killzone 2 and LittleBigPlanet? If Sony starts talking about things they won't be talking about still at NEXT YEAR'S E3, I'll start paying attention to them.
I still don't think it was stellar. I could care less about avatars/new Dashboard. Netflix, new Banjo, NEW PORTAL, the original Banjo on XBLA got me excited. Other than that, Fable 2, exclusive content for Fallout 3, and Gears 2, like everything was multiplatform news. And those system exclusive news don't matter to me as much: I loved the prequels to those games, so I'm buying them regardless.
On a side note, Rock Band 2 > GH World Tour.
GH World Tour: You have to shell out ANOTHER $170 on instruments that are unnecesarily different from Rock Band's. By the end of the year, you'll have 100 total songs with DLC. You can make your own music, but it pretty much does for GH what Forge did for Halo - no one except hardcore people will use it.
Rock Band - You DON'T have to shell out more money for instruments. Buying the disc alone will get you 84 tracks immediately and 20 free DLC. By the end of the year you'll have 500 total songs with DLC. Oh, and we'll be out sooner. QED Red Octane.
