Should come in handy in case I'm ever in Japan and want to wander into a stranger's house to play PS4.
@FoxbatAlpha: How is Xbox more open-minded than PlayStation? It seems like PlayStation gamers like a much wider variety of games than Xbox only owners. Actually it isn't seems it's a fact.
@silversix_: that's the dumbest thing I've heard in a long while.
Thanks for your generous compliment
Best sales, best hardware, best third party partnerships, huge Japan support. Exclusives haven't had their stride yet, but are coming very soon in 2016,2017 and so forth. It's occurred to me SW that PS4 is the most beautiful console to ever grace our hands. Can we finally agree that Sony took this gen (and gaming in general) back in one fell swoop?
I agree apart from the 'most beautiful console' part, the PS4 is nice looking for sure but i still have a special place for the original PS1 and maybe the PS3 with its chrome highlights.
All i want really is some more top flight exclusive games and GT7 and i'll be happy.
I don't think I'm in a good position to comment, since I haven't turned on my PS4 since Godzilla came out (and before that, since Bloodborne came out).
Perhaps I have somehow overlooked the last 6-8 months of brilliant exclusives?
Yikes! What happened to forza 6?
Isn't Turn 10 supposed to be known for quality design, & attention to detail? It's lacking in both departments.
well, it is one of the best looking racing sims...
The PS4 is the console of choice for casual sheep that have probably only bought God of War: Remastering the Remastered collection, the definitive Reissue.

It's called cherry picking and max assist settings.
It appears to be unstoppable in Europe. But although they won't outdo the PS4 in NA I do believe MS has a shot at being respectively competitive here.

What...
Unfortunately having a preference isn't enough for some people. They feel compelled to take their fanboyism to absurd lengths and say dumbass things like that.
It's been a bit more than 1.5 years so far. There are still 4-7 years to go before this gen ends. PS3 was under-performing last gen in the beginning as well but later, life time PS3 sales overtook Xbox 360 because of its exclusives. Keep in mind that most multiplats, especially towards the beginning of the gen sucked on PS3.
Many games from PC developers were broken on it, others never saw light of the day on it, because architect was so complex that it took years until they finally learned to use it properly... Yet PS3 succeeded and if you start the poll right now, most people are going to choose PS3 as a best platform for last gen, thanks to exclusives from 1st party.
Microsoft can do the same with Xbox One. They can win the generation by releasing excellent games. That's all they need to do to win this gen because as far as multiplats are concerned, it's in way better shape than PS3 because both PS4 and Xbox One have PC architecture.
The only difference is that Xbox One is a bit under-powered and devs have to reduce the resolution and textures a bit to run the game on it. It's not like Xbox One is holding back full potential of Sony's Super Computer.
Don't expect MS to pull ahead. It's not going to happen. MS is basically a niche console not a world console and that determines much. Anyway MS had an extra year's start on Sony so of course they would have been ahead at the start. They didn't go the distance though.
But if you like the X1 and it has exclusives you love why does it matter? Nintendo fans are fine with not dominating as long as they get the games they love.

Won't happen. MS will trail Sony this entire generation. That's a done deal. If the hardware were equal then maybe they could come back but they're gonna be facing an entire generation of digital foundry articles recommending the PS4 version of multiplatform games 75% of the time or more. And MS doesn't have a double agent running Sony's gaming division like Sony did MS's gaming division the last few years of gen 7 and the beginning of this one. Yes, I know there's no smoking gun sort of proof that Mattrick was cashing Sony paychecks but c'mon, nothing else adequately explains the degree of his incompetence. :) Sure, it could be turned around with a few dozen exclusive titles of excellent quality but that ain't gonna happen. MS doesn't publish nearly enough exclusives to close a gap like this.
While the PS4 has/is selling more systems, how many of those are actually being used? I know I bought into the hype and got my PS4 last Christmas (already had the X1 from launch). At first I thought it was great (a new toy) but over time I realized how much more I prefer the X1. So now my PS4 is used for exclusives only, while the X1 is used for everything else. I'm happy the PS4 is selling very well for Sony, we all know they needed it to after the PS3. It would been interesting if MS never announced their initial rules and released the X1 with Kinect as an option.
If you don't have a link stating the how big or small are the number or people who use or not their PS4 GTFO...lol
I am really starting to believe cows get a voluntary lobotomy at the start of each gen.
Dude, in the first few years, the PS3 was selling like such crap that some editorials in game sites/magazines called for Sony to abandon it and release a different console. Hell, there were even reports that Sony was begging developers not to abandon the PS3 in 2007.
Things change.
Hahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...
Any one who compare the PS3 with the xbox one is a blind fanboy, first MS doesn't have any country to fall back on,second Sony was selling more PS3 yearly world wide than MS was selling 360 even from the start at a high price.
The PS3 is not the xbox one and MS has no freaking market to make the gap from,if the xbox 360 and PS3 were have been launch the same year the PS3 would be more than 10 million consoles ahead, and who knows if more, the gap the 360 wasn't like the one the PS4 has not even close.
Hes argument is about Graphics not about quality... Nice spin...lol
This 2 games don't even appear to be in the same generation....hahahaa Look how pathetic F6 look.
@tormentos: Is that why Sony had to beg developers not to abandon the console?
You're just a stupid fanboy.

Sony didn't have to beg developers dude, stop quoting miss information pulled from some blind fanboy ass...lol
Just like the PS3 was suppose to be sony last console or that sony would charge for online on PS3....lol
The only stupid fanboy here is you dude, comparing the xbox one to the PS3 s a joke,MS has no market to make the gap from is losing every where which wasn't the case with the PS3 in all countries even at $600 countries like mainland EU and Japan ditched the xbox 360 in a second in favor of the PS3,that scenario is not happening this gen at all,so the only blind fanboy argument like always is yours..lol
LMFAO
Only mericans and english care about Xbone.
You mean Americans? As in US citizens? Why would you resort to being a dick about someone's nationality?
I still don't own a PS4. There's two games on the entire system I'd play. lol.
It's going on 2 years old in a couple of months? It's successful because it's the most powerful whilst being decently priced (comparitively to other consoles).
Every time I think of buying a PS4, my mind just diverts to thinking about what else the money could buy for my PC.
In celebration of the Sony train, let's read some of the idiotic predictions from gamers about where Sony would be this generation:
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=489769
When a company like Sony either dominates and holds a far better sales average than the other two companies, then form a better prediction next time. Start in the middle, and move the needle up or down from there. Those who say "Sony will fail and bow out" are fanboy stupid. Those who say "nail in the coffin" all the time need to make sure their own favorite company knows how to even hold a hammer properly. I'm not that impressed by the competitor's numbers in relation to the amount of boasting their fans do.
This is amazing. I can't stop laughing.

I can relate to what's bolded within your quote.
I have a PS4, the only games I'm waiting on for it are Persona 5 & Star Ocean 5. Other than that, its been collecting dust. I've been playing mostly all my games on PC. Although, I have dusted off my vita and started playing Tactics Ogre: Let us Cling Together again ( PSP game). Damn, why can't square make good games again....
However, If I didn't have a PC, then the PS4 would be the one to own for now.
It's a pretty good console. It has a good variety of games and more coming, it's success has many variables.
You guys can argue til the cows come home pun intended but that does not stop it from being enjoyable to play. I myself am looking forward to many games from Fallout 4 to Horizon and more infact screw this I'm off to kick some ass in bloodborne.
@mems_1224: Doesn't matter if it's fan loved, still scored lowly compared to prior Halo games and nothing 343 has remedied that.
Also I'm not saying a score in the 80s is bad but when it's being hyped up as GOAT or GOTY that'll score in the 90s and get 10s across the board, can't help but feel that the hype is misplaced.
