I agree apart from the 'most beautiful console' part, the PS4 is nice looking for sure but i still have a special place for the original PS1 and maybe the PS3 with its chrome highlights.

I don't think I'm in a good position to comment, since I haven't turned on my PS4 since Godzilla came out (and before that, since Bloodborne came out).

The PS4 is the console of choice for casual sheep that have probably only bought God of War: Remastering the Remastered collection, the definitive Reissue.

It's called cherry picking and max assist settings.

It appears to be unstoppable in Europe. But although they won't outdo the PS4 in NA I do believe MS has a shot at being respectively competitive here.

Unfortunately having a preference isn't enough for some people. They feel compelled to take their fanboyism to absurd lengths and say dumbass things like that.

Don't expect MS to pull ahead. It's not going to happen. MS is basically a niche console not a world console and that determines much. Anyway MS had an extra year's start on Sony so of course they would have been ahead at the start. They didn't go the distance though.

But if you like the X1 and it has exclusives you love why does it matter? Nintendo fans are fine with not dominating as long as they get the games they love.

Won't happen. MS will trail Sony this entire generation. That's a done deal. If the hardware were equal then maybe they could come back but they're gonna be facing an entire generation of digital foundry articles recommending the PS4 version of multiplatform games 75% of the time or more. And MS doesn't have a double agent running Sony's gaming division like Sony did MS's gaming division the last few years of gen 7 and the beginning of this one. Yes, I know there's no smoking gun sort of proof that Mattrick was cashing Sony paychecks but c'mon, nothing else adequately explains the degree of his incompetence. :) Sure, it could be turned around with a few dozen exclusive titles of excellent quality but that ain't gonna happen. MS doesn't publish nearly enough exclusives to close a gap like this.

Any one who compare the PS3 with the xbox one is a blind fanboy,first MS doesn't have any country to fall back on,second Sony was selling more PS3 yearly world wide than MS was selling 360 even from the start at a high price.

The PS3 is not the xbox one and MS has no freaking market to make the gap from,if the xbox 360 and PS3 were have been launch the same year the PS3 would be more than 10 million consoles ahead,and who knows if more,the gap the 360 wasn't like the one the PS4 has not even close.

I still don't own a PS4. There's two games on the entire system I'd play. lol.

It's going on 2 years old in a couple of months? It's successful because it's the most powerful whilst being decently priced (comparitively to other consoles).

Every time I think of buying a PS4, my mind just diverts to thinking about what else the money could buy for my PC.

I have a PS4, the only games I'm waiting on for it are Persona 5 & Star Ocean 5. Other than that, its been collecting dust. I've been playing mostly all my games on PC. Although, I have dusted off my vita and started playing Tactics Ogre: Let us Cling Together again ( PSP game). Damn, why can't square make good games again....

However, If I didn't have a PC, then the PS4 would be the one to own for now.

It's a pretty good console. It has a good variety of games and more coming, it's success has many variables.

You guys can argue til the cows come home pun intended but that does not stop it from being enjoyable to play. I myself am looking forward to many games from Fallout 4 to Horizon and more infact screw this I'm off to kick some ass in bloodborne.

Every Halo got in the mid 90s until 343 took the helm, now they range between the low 80s to mid 80s.

@davem1992: odst had an 83 and that's one of the most beloved halo games. Halo 4 got an 87, that's a great score considering the problems that game had.

@mems_1224: Doesn't matter if it's fan loved, still scored lowly compared to prior Halo games and nothing 343 has remedied that.

Also I'm not saying a score in the 80s is bad but when it's being hyped up as GOAT or GOTY that'll score in the 90s and get 10s across the board, can't help but feel that the hype is misplaced.
