Can We All Agree That The PS3 is A Much Better Console?

However life is not that simple. It is also far more expensive and lacking in exlusive software. Whats the point in being better when you're rival is limited the shared software and you have no exlusive software to speak of.

my pc would decent for awhile if i could get ahold of a cpu like this athlon 64 x2/dualcore 4200+ socket 939 to replace this socket 939 3200+ single core

no longer made and usually overpriced now also i dont trust ebay for ****.

yea they amd and intel have quadcore cpus now and **** and intels new cpus faster than amds and amds faster than old socket 939 dualcores.

but the athlon 64 x2 socket 939 is still a great cpu regardless of what anyone says.

it's a shame only thing really holding me back is my cpu i would get a better one for my motherboard a damn x2 now hard to find now since discontiuned this sucks.

yeah, i dont know why but...there are just a very few games on the 360 (100% exclusives) that interest me...if there are 360/PC titles i'll get them on the PC ...and there are ALOT of PS3 titles that i want that are 100% exclusives :)

yeah, i dont know why but...there are just a very few games on the 360 (100% exclusives) that interest me...if there are 360/PC titles i'll get them on the PC ...and there are ALOT of PS3 titles that i want that are 100% exclusives :)

better exclusives lol that's why everyone says 2008 was the year of the PS 3 the PS 3 exclusives got better scores and GOTY for both Metal Gear Solid and Little Big Planet, people are tired of the same old shooters just walking around and shooting everything that moves that's why they didn't pick your games halo and gears 2 , just like the Presidency they are saying it's time for a change.

$300 is not overpriced especially considering it's superior and reliable and has games coming this year

reliability is something important that the xbox doesn't have rrod, scratching disks etc..

btw the Blue Ray player is the icing on the cake :)

I have both 360 and PS3.... out of all of my consoles, I'll also like my n64 better. But still.

I have yet to be interested in a 360 exclusive. And by that, I mean EXCLUSIVE. Not PC too type of crap.

I payed enough for my PS3, but I've used it more than my xbox in every way. So far, best 400$ I've spent (ps2 compatible, SD card slots and all that jazz).

I love it.

i used to own a 360, and the exclusives titles (that are 360 only only..no PC shared)didnt appealed to me as the PS3 exclusives..so thats why i bought a PS3 (that and also the fact that i went through three 360s...my Gamertag is the same as my PSN ID if you want to check)

-Failure rate is very low, the machine is super silent, doenst get overheated as easy as the 360

Multimedia

- can rip videos from a cd or dvd to your harddrive, can rip songs from your ipod or mp3, can watch your favorite videos on the web brower ( megavideo, youtube, and many others) stream videos from your pc ( 360 does this as well i think)

Internet

- ONLINE GAMING IS FREE!!!!!, we get atleast 1 update every 2 months, web browser is not so bad either.

Games

- Did you see killzone 2? MGS4? Uncharted 1 and 2? We got some really cool games, and many others on the way but i still think the 360 has the edge on this one, but fear not, because 2009 will be a great gaming year for us, with GOW 3!!!!!!!

2 GB of ram is good for most games. Only ones you may want to have more with are Crysis. Consdering how cheap ram is right now (4GB for less than $50) it wouldn't be difficult for him to upgrade. He doesn't need to though. Considering how cheap Dual Core CPU's are now though, he should definitely get a Dual Core CPU. Go Quad Core if he can (fairly cheap as well). Might as well go all out.

I can't wait for a system that will incorparate everything from every system to make one centralized system so I can stop reading these sorts of topics.

Well PC will always be there so you will have to say it is the best. Even if all these inferior consoles merge, PC will still live.

the motherboard i have now is a foxconn socket 939 nforce 4 sli board.

athlon 64 x2 first started on socket 939 and then amd discontinued them for the am2 ones.

I know that I buy a gaming console to play games and in that dept the 360 is better and there is no denying this....idc what the specs are if the PS3 can't privide quality software

While the PS3 might be a better console from a hardware standpoint, it's software and pricing that make the console world go round. Heck, the Xbox was a "better console" than the PS2, but that doesn't mean it was the best system to own last generation.
