i think he is asking about why his TV cant do 720p or 1080p without an HDMI cord, maybe TC try fiddling with the settings of the TV? or maybe you dont have the right settings on your console?

I have no idea what you just said. But I'll just say this, the games run in 720p and are upscaled to 1080p if your TV is 1080p.soulitane
no if u set ur ps3 to 1080p and ur tv is 1080p it will automatically change it to its native setting...my tv tells me it changes to 720p when i play a 720p game..but stays at 1080p when i play something like wipeout hd.
