Capcom: Wii won't be getting our mature support, cause it is kiddy to be honest.

[QUOTE="goblaa"]I'd have to say capcom is behind the times.Gamer46

Yes, very behind the times, and they've delivered nothing good the last couple years with more good stuff on the way. I mean Dead Rising, Lost Planet, DMC 4, RE 5, they suck.

I think he meant behind the times as in, "hey look, the sales for wii is rocketing. Looks like Wii is the next casual system right? Time to bring out all those casual games out there don't you think?"

Well where do you think Nintendo would be if they target their games to older audience? Too much competition in there. Theres no way they could win. So it's best if they take the younger market with Pokemons/Marios etc... It's smarts!

I still maintain that if Capcom were smart, they'd pull a Metroid Prime with the MegaMan series for the Wii and sell boatloads...

I think that MegaMan would be highly amenable to a 3D FPS/FPA format, and it wouldn't have to be gory/"mature" at all.  Thoughts?

[QUOTE="MaTT2011"]You people need to realize this "mature" concept thats being tossed around is just a marketing strategy trap designed to sucker people into thinking a certain way so as to maximize profits of a certain product while attacking the credibility of other products..............and you all fall for it like a bunch of mind slaves, bowing before your masters as they hand you crap and call it "mature" while you completely ignore quality products. Time to grow a brain, folks.Coyo7e

Agreed.

When marketing throws around these descriptions, they're targeting the people who are insecure and look for buying things to prop themselves up (kinda like the Marlboro man). Marketing for most companies release statistics to back up their companies investments, regardless of the truth.

FFS... sometimes when they say a game is mature they just meens its mature.

The real insecurity here is all the nintendo fanbots who flip every time someone says they think the wii is kiddy.

The thing is though that "kiddy" has nothing to do with why fans of nintendo would get angry about such false labels being thrown around. Its like a republican calling a democrat unpatriotic because they dont support the iraq war.........it just doesnt make any sense. But your little comment about a game is mature because its mature makes absolutely no sense in any universe; your not really saying anything at all. You dont tell us what mature actually is and how its relevant to the conversation, basically all your saying is that "mature=mature" which is circular logic, defining a concept, in this case mature, by simply restating the concept amounts to linguistic masturbation you arent really saying anything! So try again, son. This time pay attention and stick to the conversation.

It makes perfect sense from a buisness perspective.... Why on earth would you bring all these mature titles to a system, that is suppost to be a "family oriented" when you know that the mature player base is tiny as it is ? its a waste of money to any company. So expect lots of "cutesy" & "Kiddy" type games.

And again this rob's Nintendo owners of missing out on alot of great games. so again..... Xbox 360 & PS3 = hardcore gamers that want a next gen experience, or Nintendo for 1st party titles only, which come out say maybe 2-3 good Nintendo games a year max, so more oriented towards the casual gamers.

shaggymcp

You really believe the 'mature player base is tiny'? Why are developers bringing out 'mature' games for it then? Are you saying that those developers have no business sense because it's a waste of 'money'?

For the wii it sure is.

Developers ? plz name some "mature" games coming for the Wii. besides manhunt2.

And no I am saying that what that guy from capcom said makes perfect sense... why bring a mature game to a system with a family oriented player base, when you know it won't sell not even close to the amount that it would sell on PS3 or Xbox 360. Its bad buisness.

why exclude manhunt 2? And those 'mature' games...how about godfather, scarface, resident evil?

I never said to exclude it ? I just said besides, cause most people already know its coming, but still ..... list ?

he made the list of games :|

there also far cry and spillter cell also another racing game forgot its name from ubsifot

When i play a game i would rather be Alucard chopping heads off of vampires then Mario jumping on mushrooms and flowers. Does that make Castlevania better or more fun then Mario? No. It just interests me more. Or maybe im just insecure in myself like youre saying...
