They could have a 1000 and it still wouldn't matter because as soon as they announced it was first person I was like meh.

@Planeforger: I'm not talking about WoW if that even has a story. I never wanted them to make that game anyway but nooo Blizzard wanted loads of money.
The characters in Warcraft 3 and Diablo 1 & 2 cutscenes and npc do not annoy me.
This is not true for TW3. I spat bile on the opening scene to that game and threw myself off the balcony to try and escape that dreadful woman.
It turns out, by the way, Blade Runner 2049 is not particularly high contrast Just riddled with plot holes and pretty much as bleak as The Road. I was depressingly unsurprised it was a bit crap. It's not a cyberpunk film though, it's a post apocalyptic stage drama with guns.
First person seems like the way to go for a game like this. It wouldn't have worked in W3 when you're being ganked by mobs.
But frequent and long loading times is not really acceptable in this day and age. Surely they will fix that. Although, I'm not sure what the standard is. Loads of games do it (no load times) so I don't get that. Loading during combat must be an exaggeration or a result of it being in an early stage still.
Truth be told, I am quite excited about Cyberpunk 2077 just to see if they can create a interesting cityscape with multiple floors and alot of rooms to go in. As free roam as possible.
I was about to suggest they have the game download in real time, to allow for petabytes of game content but then that would actually suck in so many ways.
So a good amount of rooms and explorations is still good. I don't think, without a fully online game, you could really have a full city to explore.
For now, I have made progress in Shadowrun (Genesis) and after maybe 20 times longer than it should have taken, I am on my second deck (the second best one).
The only problem with Shadowrun is you don't get paid for clawing/punching zombies (bug) so I had to completely rethink my strategy.
Shadowrun 3D has got to be a winner. But that means combat cannot be skill based otherwise combat stats wouldn't matter, right? Lock on and shoot is the order of the day I think. Grenades are cool.
@vaeh:
"You came up with Destiny lol. Better don't buy it. I have a feeling that you're a Sony cow."
Your feeling is off the mark a bit. I actually liked Destiny but what I liked about Destiny is the reason why I think Cyberpunk will fail to live up to the hype. I'm sure it'll still be great in its own way though.
CDPR also made the trailer in Chinese. This game is going to be a hit.
I wonder what the Chinese government is going to think about this game with all of its technocratic political themes.
@nepu7supastar7: lol Destiny is nothing. CD Projekt Red can make a manly badass shooter any day.
You're underestimating Cyberpunk fan-base. I'm seeing JC Denton everywhere.
Cyberpunk 2077 might achieve a bigger impact than even TW3.

Not only the trailer, CDPR also announced they'll launch an official Chinese version of game along with the international version.
Funny thing - China's probably the one that's closest to an cyberpunk society with their mass surveillance, govt-linked tech companies, high usage rates of cashless tech, and also the fact that you can buy almost anything there.
IIRC CD Projekt Red even have a letter translate to Chinese to thanks their support for The Witcher 3, Chinese know who these developers are and hype this game too.
@vaeh:
What about for those who don't care for that manly bs and thought the Witcher 3 was just decent?
Honestly, this sounds like a bad thing to me.
We complain so much about overly cinematic, rising dev costs pushing unsavory monetization schemes, and too many cooks in the kitchen leading to a lot of elements that don't gel.
So - CDPR has an amazing track record of doing very little of those things. But this may be biting off more than they should and pushing it into Hollywood bloat territory.
We'll see. Hope I'm wrong. Super hyped for it. But I'd like a lean, coherent package that didn't go through development chaos with an army of disconnected workers

I completely agree with most of what you've said there, apart from WoW started with a lot of lore behind it and has continued to build the lore through the entire game's 14 year existence. The story is enormous, complex and a little convoluted at times. Everything is connected and they developed a technique with instancing that allows the world to change depending where you are on the time line of the story.
As for the loading times comment, it's entirely possible to build a game with zero load times, Star Citizen is proving that with an vast play space, including an entire planet covered in a city. May be too much of a squeeze on console hardware though.
I'm pretty sure that Cyberpunk is going to a fantastic game and one of the very few I'd consider pre-purchasing.
@GarGx1: I should point out at this point I have the second worst deck in Shadowrun. Not the second best *Homer drooling noise*.
Like xantufrog said though, it could become a series of set pieces, watching things happen because 'game must have loads of content!' One of TW3 problems was too much fluff.
The gameplay in the demos didn't look like my kind of game tbh.
I'm only interesting in hacking.
Hopefully almost none of these 400 people were involved with The Witcher 3. Still not ready to buy a CD Projekt Red game at anything higher than 25% the asking price. Their games have all absolutely sucked. The Witcher 3 was hilariously bad and the reception it got is a stain on the gaming community. Ripping off Assassin's Creed and removing the fun stuff (stealth and parkour) is a terrible way to make a game.
