BioWare overall in terms of their overall resume. Three Witcher games vs their library of IPs and games isnt even close. I didnt play Sonic or DA2. But I enjoyed most of their games (sans Jade Empire) and prefer party based WRPGs.

Neverwinter Nights is their best game and the best game in the OP. Not for its campaign (Well, Hordes of the Underdark was good), but for the distinctive features it offered in its package as a content creation and community platform. It's a PC game that CDPR will never top.

Though I'm really keen on CDPR moving away from The Witcher license with Cyberpunk. I started to feel that their games being faithful to the license is what bogged the third game down for me. From the abundance of Dandelion, to the same 5 spells you had since the first game, to the elaborate attack animations of the Wolf school combat style and just the flow of Witcher contracts.

Though, I wouldnt mind the next Witcher game with Ciri. She seems like a more capable character to build a interesting combat system around.

Its more like "All of Bioware's collection of games" vs "The Witcher 3" and CD Projekt still win with just that one game.

I get what you're saying and I agree in principle. It's just a bit ironic that the Witcher 3 takes a massive dump on the lore of the books to the point where it's no longer possible for the books and the games to occupy the same universe.

The thing with CDRP is that they have only had 3 games and with each ones they got better and better so of course I am much more excited with what they are working on next. Bioware on the other had their quality is flip floppy... Dragon Age Origin was incredible and then 2 happened, then their was Mass Effect 3's ending.

I am far more excited for Cyberpunk 2077 than I am Mass Effect Andromeda.

Other than the timeline...how?

It really doesn't.

@texasgoldrush: Well, book and game spoilers bellow:

Perhaps the most striking example is about what the world knows about Ciri. The fact that she is Emhyr's daughter was a closely guarded secret that Emhyr almost killed Geralt and Yenefer to keep. In the books Emhyr marries Ciri's double and as far as the world knows she is the real Ciri, the heiress of Cintra, giving Emhyr claim to Cintra. In fact the lodge of Sorceresses tell Ciri that she can no longer marry a prince as the princess of Cintra because everyone thinks that's who Emhyr wed. First of all this body double and empress of Nilfgaard isn't mentioned at all in the books. Second, everyone seems to know that Ciri is Emhyr's daughter. There isn't even an attempt of an explanation about that in the games, they simply ignore it and it's not a small detail, as it makes a whole important plot line void.

No one actually knows really except for the Lodge and Morvan. Even Djikstra doesn't know until Geralt can inform him. You are overplaying your complaint.

"False Ciri" was alluded to in a letter in The Witcher 2 as a consort. She was supposed to have a role in TW3 is Skellige but was cut.

Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn destroys the Witcher 3. And this is from someone who just finished the Witcher 3 on death march (will get a screengrab of my GOG achievements as proof if you like) and think its the best story based RPG in years. CD Projekt needs to work on their encounter design, combat, and item system to really make a GOAT.

Voted for Cd Projekt because they seem to love what they do. Bioware is not the same Bioware of old. This new Bioware is bunch of SJW'S and pandering to all the special snowflakes, W3 game was done so well and the attention to details was amazing, DA:I was sloppy and it felt like it was rushed and the development team didn't put there heaet and soul into it. Da:I wouldn't have won game of the year if W3 was released around the same time. Mark my words Cyberpunk will probably blow ME:A out of the water.

Mass Effect 2 & 3 are better than anything CD Projekt Red has ever done. I feel absolutely no investment in Geralt's story.
