Chance of Banjo flopping?

Hey guys,

Not meaning to start a war here, but I figured this would be the best place to put it so I don't get completely biased opinions.

I am considering preordering Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts because of not only its $40 price tag but also because you get the original Banjo Kazooie if you preorder. Now, I am not one for preordering games because I like to read a few reviews before making my purchases. The only game I've ever preordered is Halo 3 because I was a huge Halo 2 fan and its chance of flopping was close to zero.

So, before I preorder this game, I ask the community of Gamespot: What is the chance of Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts flopping?

Wrong. After the demo, a lot of lems including myself weren't that interested in the game. A demo of Banjo will be out before the real game is out, we'll find out than whats the chance of flopping.

I'd say it's definitely worthy of a purchase, Rare's never put anything bad out recently, even though they don't release games too often. But yeah, I'm going to preorder for the bonus of the original game, probably the best use of pre-order incentive I've ever seen.

I'm also thinking this is Microsoft's answer to LittleBigPlanet, although I don't quite see the finess LittleBigPlanet has, I think this game will be incredible.

Too Human looked like a flop for about 2 years. Without Silicon Knights' name behind, that game wouldn't have gotten an ounce of hype.

On topic however, I don't see Banjo flopping. It still has that classic Rare charm, and the vehicle customization looks like a compelling addition. At the very least it will be a very good game and a nice spin on the platforming genre, and for $40 who doesn't want that?

I own the game. yet to play it. but from the demo, i think the most hideous of flaws is how much i own at it

Rare hasn't made an outright piece of garbage since grabbed by the ghoulies,

PDZ was good(AA on metacritic)
Kameo was good(AA as well)
Viva Pinata was good(AA as well)

And Both Banjo Kazooie Nuts and bolts and VIva Pinata Trouble in Paradise look good as well.jg4xchamp

Yeah, I suspect a very minimal chance of floppage outide of system wars, inside, however, the cows will probably cry "flop" if the game gets less than a 9.

If lemmings hype it a 9 or above and it revieves lower than yeah the cows are justified in their floppage calls.

There's a differnce from DEFENDING, you purchase from real fanboys, and attacking someone elses console of choice.
