Clash of the titans: Gears of War 2 & Killzone 2 vs Crysis & Stalker CS

This is not fair comparsion cause not all images are ingame.

But anyway i think it is like this

Crysis > Clear Sky > (gears vs killzone but i think gears will win because of bether texture)

But i think that some of those GEOW 2 images are taken from high end PC not x360 so its not fair

(see how first 2 images have jaggies and last 1 dont)

it's obvious Crysis will win

I have strong doubts onStalker ( it would have to considerably improve over the first one to be considered impressive)

So far Gears of war 2( in color) seems better than black and white Killzone 2 (with colored explosions)

I like Clear Sky's visuals out of the 4. Despite it being a technical marvel, I never really favored Crysis' visual design because I always found it to be stale and have a lack of character.

Gears and Killzone can't compete,so leave them out.

As for the Warhead and Stalker,Warhead looks technically better,but Stalker is the most atmospheric game I've ever played,and Clear Skies is adding on to that with the new engine improvements.

I voted for Stalker.

You should edit some of your pictures; a lot of the Crysis ones are pre-alpha shots.

Even then, though, Crysis looks the best out of all of them. STALKER runs a good second, then Killzone 2, then Gears of War.

Crysis but Stalker might run it a close second. What screenshots don't show is the incredible dynamic lighting in both games and the way the foliage moves in realtime.

Actually, most of Crysis screenshots are from the full product, modded with Natural Mod.

Stalker looked great on some videos and pics before it came out, I got the game (which was great) but in terms of graphics it wasn't by any means one of the best out there.... I'll wait till I see that one running on my pcusule

Thats what mods were for. Plus your hating on a 4 year old engine with a few graphical tweaks before it was released. Nice.

First of all, it is in Beta.

Secondly, if it was still in alpha or pre-alpha, the graphics engine would still be nearly finalized and the game would look almost identical.

Well don't make statements like that. STALKER has the best atmosphere of any game I have played and I think most of the people who have played it will agree. Killzone 2's atmosphere will come no where near STALKER.

That guy thinks KZ2 will look like crisis when its done. In reality the graphics wont get any better than they already are.

Maybe. Every KZ2 screenshot looks blurry. Too much blur effect? Also I haven't been impressed with the way Gears 2 looks like because it looks way too much like the first.

Clear Sky looks incredible. :o

But Crysis is just something else, it looks good and it has huge enviornments full of stuff.

That picture is not even in 720p. It is stretched on purpose to make the textures look bad.

An image being scaled down from 1280x720 should have richer looking textures/colours and less jaggies. Meaning your statement is the opposite, it would look even worse at full size.Brainkiller05

Yes if the image was the correct size that would be true. But the person who posted it on Gamespot stretched it out.

to the TC, i don't think your pics of S:CS do it justice, and shouldn't you be talking about warhead since it would be a closer time frame 2 both GeOW 2 KZ2 and S:CS..T3h_M3tal_Biggz

Well, Warhed looks almost identical to Crysis IMO.
