What the **** does 'critically acclaimed' mean to a gamer? Are you waiting for press releases to tell you which games to play? Infamous Second Son is an excellent game which got great scores as that means so much to you, you should buy it immediately. TLOU Remastered also got amazing review scores you better run out and buy it straight away, sheep that you are.

No, it's just that the only game PC gamers really care for on the PS4 is Bloodborne. I say "critically acclaimed" to bolster the idea that no games on PS4 have received the hype or praise of an AAAE game like BB. PC gamers largely ignore Second Son, and it's not enough to justify a PS4 purchase.

If i wanted to play TLOU again, I'd buy it for less than twenty dollars on PS3, not buy a PS4, it's almost as if it doesn't count.

Granted this will all change when UC4 and P5 come out, but for now that meme stands is all.

I gave you a list of games due out for PS4 by the end of the year, you are not interested in any of them, that's okay. IT's no wonder why PS4 is leading the gen thus fat. With over 350+ games to play, theirs something for everyone. Even GS has recently expanded the shelf space.

Even if they are niche I don't see how that's a bad thing. Niche games are almost universally the best.

Persona has a large fanbase and is even more popular than the main SMT series. There wouldn't be all these Persona 4 spinoffs and a Vita remake of Persona 4 if Persona wasn't popular. You can stop labeling games you have no interest in as "obscure niche."

In any event, Im willing to give it a try as I loved the few "popular" JRPGS I played last gen on 360 like Lost Odyssey and Eternal Sonata

The main reason a developer would make sequels in a franchise that doesn't sell all that great is the money generated on those sales greatly outweighs the costs of development.

Wouldn't that make the game sell enough though? They managed their expectations and costs?

As opposed to SE saying Tomb Raider failed at 7 million sales or whatever it was.

Disgaea ain't no system seller the franchise barely sold over 1.7 million as of 2011 despite being on 4 different platforms and 5 (9 if you count the spinoffs) games from 2003 - 2011

Persona series sold six million despite being a nearly 20 year old franchise, having 8 games and being on 8 platforms (arcade doesn't count). Pretty sure that ain't a system seller and very niche franchise as well.

I believe the sudden popularity around Persona 5 is from a vocal minority or people hyping it up because its a "Playstation 4" exclusive since PS4 is greatly lacking in exclusive games, funny enough a lot of people I see hyping it have never played a Persona game or let alone knew the franchise existed.

That's how much these new consoles suck. They gotta argue which console is the least shitty, but still shit, but at least it's least shitty debate, namasayin.

Caused a lot of discussion. what I want to know is why aren't more people questioning xbones week lineup..does the annual halo forza fable satisfy lems? How does halo 5 beat a larger selection of games ( no matter what definition you use for exclusive...ps4 still has more).

I don't play XBone or Playstation 4 and don't have interest in any of the exclusives mentioned so I won't comment.

The PlayStation 4 is the current gen console with the most games, exclusives and multiplatform games. Haters can say "it has no games" as many times as the want, but it won't make it a fact.

Watch out. The last time you guys called a PS4 game 'niche' it sold by the truckload. In fact, I think ya'll called Infamous niche as well and it ended up selling better than Titanfall did on the Bone. It's almost a good luck charm.
