Looks like it'll be good fun. Less of a "class" based system which would be nice, not a huge fan of TF2. Find the more extreme classed based games more restrictive.

I like some of the tricks, but this whole class based death match movement feels a bit overkill. We have Overwatch, LawBreakers, and a few other stuff in early access if I remember right, and I don't know if it quite captures all the reasons Team Fortress 2 was fucking excellent, and frankly still is great.

That said between Unreal Tournament and Gears of War, Cliff has made good multiplayer games before, so I'm looking forward to trying this.

He shares the truth, and tends to do it harshly, and apparently that means

-He hates PC

And it's like no bitch, you just suck at reading comprehension. Personally I've always enjoyed any interview where he is talking game design, from his opinion on platinum games, to what he'd like to see from the future of single player stuff, to some of the things he felt Uncharted should have done. He also grasped the business side of things though, it's what makes him successful while being able to appreciate the under the radar stuff, but also know why they don't sell.

At the end of the day, if it's a good game, bladebladebla.

This is like Overwatch meets Black Ops 3, backwards shooting mechanic is cool.

if done right it could be very fun. movement looks a bit too slow, and the fact that its free to play is a huge reason to be skeptical. graphics are also pretty mediocre, helped a lot by some good art. if he could get back the old unreal tournament2k4 feel before it went to shit with unreal tournament 3 and not have it be typical pay 2 win f2p crap, id be in.

game will need excellent map design and variety, a variety of FUN game modes, and of course inter-class balance.

Because whenever established franchises attempt to add "cool new shit", an extremely vocal subset of players scream that they are "betraying their fan base".

Ironically, many of the same gamers will also whine about games that are "rehashed, yearly iteration, cash ins".

Game looks kind of nice. I'd give it a try.

I can give a shit about super-inflated people like "cliffy b," molynxeue (or however it is spelled), "Notch" or Tim Schafer. Their games aren't that great, not even their one-hit wonders. But for an arena shooter, this game looks alright. Team Fortress 2 is so outdated. It is only kept alive by mods. Time for something new. More excited for Overwatch though.

The verticality is interesting, but the world looks bland as ****.
