actually Army of two is FAR better then gears,im sure DS will be also.

Gears is highly overrated.

No I use to play it every night online, it was the best online experince Ive had in a long time. Working together with 3 other people was very fun and exciting when everyone really got into it.

Gears introduced some interesting mechanics not done before (to the best of my knowledge anyway, and I am not talking about it's cover system). How does that not make it somewhat original within the shooter genre at the very least?

I agree. It's unfortunate that there is so much hate surrounding the game due to the network issues and glitches, and the fact that it is not on the PS3. Gears is critically acclaimed across many publications for a reason.

why is no one answerin that actual question? it doesn't matter which one did it first it matter which one did it right first. GTA was the first free roaming sandbox game that was amazing. gears what the first game teh used cover mechanics and did it well. anyway back the the origional question. if it comes to the cover elements uncharted did the best it was virtually like gears

Actualy the hate surrounds it because its just an overhyped game. It does nothing really special,but it clamed to be some god of games. I think it got the scores because it was the first of its kind this gen.

The point ia gears isint orginal,but alot of people swear it is. I dont care if a game copied another one,but dont try calling it orginal when its not.
