Cloud or Link - Who would win in a battle

in a straight up sword fight i think a tie.

however when u bring magic into it, link wouldnt last 30 seconds imho. he cant block all kinds of magic and the summons would just make mince meat of him. a quick summon of knights of the round table would be the end of link.

Cloud is a JRPG character. They have millions of hit points and can summon comics to kill their enemies. Link would be having a hard time since all his battles are informs of puzzlesand Could would be a sitting duck having to wait for Link to attack him before he could attack again. They both suck the winner is Dante hands down.

EDIT: Can Dante be in his battle? Hes amain characterwho's aswordsmentoo. It's not like there are many of them.

Cloud doesn't have a brightly colored weak spot, and doesn't attack in a predefined pattern.

How could Link possibly hope to defeat him?

All of what under his belt? Link has nothing, considering Cloud can summon massive flaming dragons that tear apart cities, and he doesn't attack in predefined patterns, and he doesn't have any giant glaring weaknesses like Link's normal foes.

Link's weather/seasons/time powers are so conditional that they couldn't help him in any way in a fight against Cloud, and any of his other weapons won't do much good. Do you really expect Link to stop Cloud, a master swordsman who practically runs up buildings (Advent Children) with a large, clunky ball attached to a chain?

Cloud would anihillate Link. Link really isn't very strong.

That is not that good of a comparison, because all batman has to do is pull out some kryptonite to whop Superman's ass. But cloud wouldProbaly but characters shouldn't really be compared from two totally differently games. they are both epic in there on games, plus the weaker a character is, the better. It shows that they will have more struggle when they are facing upon their enemy.

Because we are trying to refrain from having a popularity contest and see who would actually win in a fight. Which would be Cloud, since Link, for all his wits and wacky gear, cannot beat Cloud's ability to call upon a nuclear blast from several Gods in various forms.

and cloud has relexs like no other..and he killed sepitroth who will kill link so its easily cloude..plus he carries a bigger sword and has omnislash..while link has...no skills besides a bow and shield

Cloud attacks his foe, but Link parries. Link decides to bring in the big guns (or big boom in this case) and throws a bomb at Cloud.

Oooh, ouch. That hurt. Cloud falls to the ground, and Link puts the master sword up to Cloud's throat.But Cloud quickly regains strength and strikes Linkwith an Omnislash. Slash. Two hearts.
