CNN Review

"You can -- virtually speaking, of course -- if you own a Microsoft Xbox 360 or Sony PlayStation 3, and the latest sports title from Sega. In fact, the new "Virtua Tennis 3" looks so realistic that TV passers-by might think it's a televised match"

"In the Xbox 360 version, the one played for this review, you also can engage in online matches with up to eight friends in cyberspace (via Xbox Live; $49.99 a year), but this option is curiously absent from the PlayStation 3 version. The PS3 version, however, offers "true" high-definition graphics (1080p support), though the Xbox 360 looks about as good."

Seems that our super-casual reviewer is scratching his head over why the PS3 didn't have online play, and also why "true" hd is not blowing away the competition.

Discuss, otherwise great game for both systems :)

I want to just give the reviewer a big hug and squeeze his cheeks. His review sounds really cute.

What is the obsession with cnn reviews here? I mean honestly, is it the fact that they sadi the wii will outsell the ps3 and xbox 360 that makes people so obsessed about it? No one cares about those sites. Who looks up a video game review on cnn.com, they have more important stuff to read, like the virginia tech massacre.

casuals dont read gamespot, or ign. they just go with word of mouth or major publishing reviews. thats why CNN and other mags like Time carry weight. They reach a larger audience that gaming networks don't

I don't believe 8-18 year olds will be going to cnn.com, to read up a virtua tennis 3 review. I don't think 30 year old men will care about this review at all. I think that you personally and maybe 100 more people will actually search all over a site to get some garbage against the ps3, and state that this is the casuals perspective.

Funny, even when the reviwer agrees with cows that the ps3 version looks better, they find a reason to throw a hissy fit.
