COD 1 sets the standard and blows the doors off of WWII shooters.

COD 2 Once again blows the doors off of Shooter games.

COD 3 A decent game changed it up a bit but still a vary good game.

COD 4 MW cosidered maybe the best FPS game ever made.

COD 5 WAW A steller WWII shooter and Treyarc says hey we are on par with IW maybe even better.

COD MW 2 The highest selling game to date still breaking records and still a year later the top game played online.

COD Black Ops almost upon us and this one REEKS of Treyarc becoming legendary and releaseing a spectacular game.

Say what you want COD >>> DESTROYS the competition and is the GRAND DADDY MAC of all FPS games and it has the sales and fanbase to say so.

Where do you get your info? Modern Warfare 2 isn't the highest selling game of all time...

I'd say its closer to being the successful guy that turned into the town drunk.

I like all COD games except 3...Really hated the 3rd.

Not true they release good amount of DLC for COD games. Look at WAW that had several packs come out. Same for MW1 and MW2

Can't say the same for a game like BC2 thats for sure:?

I'm just gonna say that I couldn't disagree more with ya. L4D, Halo, Resistance, Half-Life, Bioshock. I could probably go on with superior FPS games.

No. It doesn't get enough hate.

Seriously I've found EVERY single other console and pc CoD single player, including the two on the last gen consoles, to be enjoyable. CoD 3 wasn't nearly enjoyable to any degree.

Sorry, but does any COD game have a easy to use map builder.I want to try Halo Reach because of this map builder.I have played MW2 and it had a joke story in the campaign and a broken multiplayer that encouraged camping and barely no teamwork until time runs out on the teamwork modes.

I was never impressed with ANY COD game. It is a shame it has been consolized. Who knows what the series could have been.

CoD, with the exception of 1, UO, 2 and 5, is garbage. The series is nowhere near being King of anything. Halo, Quake, Unreal, Crysis, Bioshock, Team Fortress, etc, etc absolutely destroy it.

The only great Call of Duty games were Call of Duty and Call of Duty: United Offensive, with Call of Duty 2 being only decent.

I disagree. I find Counter-Strike to actually be the king up to today. It does almost everything right that a lot of current FPS fail to do.

• For one reason, it is the options. I can join any server or any map of my choosing from the get-go. In most game lobbies, there is the option to vote to skip and choose another map. I can also decide how many people I want to play with before I join.

• The gameplay itself is very simple and strong all at once. This one is really subjective more than anything, but I find the gunplay to be satisfying, especially when you get a kill. For some reason, every kill you get is always satisfying. There is always a strong challenge.

• Besides choosing the same weapon loadout or creating a new one at the beginning of a round, there are not a lot of game changing features to dampen the game. Unless you are playing on a customized or modded room, regenerating health is nonexistant and there are no perks to be used and/or abused. Each round is balanced fairly for everyone. No one explodes when they die and no one takes a rocket launcher in the face when they turn the corner (these are not meant to be hits at CoD mind you).

Again, it is subjective whether someone likes CoD or CS more, but I still find CS to be superior because of how it works and how long it has been able to stand up on its own, regardless that it still receives updates.

Call of duty 4 and W@W are the best ones imo

I rather play BC2,KZ,MOH and halo before I play that. Not saying is a bad series,but its not really my favorite.

CoD3 was underrated in my opinion, it got flack for being alot like CoD2 with frame rate issues but the introduction of features like sprinting, vehicles and medics were great and a shame they weren't in CoD4.

Its definitely not the king of FPS games though, neither the highest rated (Half-Life and Bioshock take that cake) nor the highest selling (though it is close).
