I agree with the TC. I've been bored out of my mind with the gameplay so far. I'm 2 or 3 levels past the "guily suit" level, which itself was total garbage btw, and I couldn't care less about the story at this point. It's just a mess. It feels like a first person SOCOM with way more buggy issues. Yay for failing script events! (reload last save point).

buggy?!?! no not even. haven't found a single one. and the "guily suit" level was one of the best in the game, not to mention one of the best levels ever. you phail...

If you want to play a great single player campaign play the original call of duty.

It's not horrible it's horribly short that's all. Incidentally, I enjoy cod4 much more than uncharted and heavnly sword which were short games as well, but still longer than cod4.bmanva

...i hate you. Uncharted was an amazing game. and actually id rather play it then Cod4 any day of the year.

Horrible? No.

It's a solid single player game even if it's short.

If anything is horrible, it's its multiplayer. I want to know what IW was thinking when making the spawns for that game or when they were balancing the game.

Call of Duty 4 is the most overrated game of 07 imo.

I thought it was a terrible campaign. The core gameplay hasn't changed and resorts to the same cheap tricks to up the difficulty and mask the terrible AI. Fine for last gen, but for me it's unacceptable now.

The guilly suit level was horribly unrealstic, and I had nothing but bugs throughout. Having to restart that level 3 times because the other sniper gets "hung" on a script is BUGGY. He basically holds your hand through the entire level, telling you exactly what to do. And then when you do start sneaking around its ridiculous that enemies can see you from far away at some moments, and cant when you are 2 feet in front of them later. All because it suits the scripted moment to make them blind at certain times.

And the "final" snipe? Totally retarded. The only moment in the ENTIRE game that wind effects bullets... how freakin convenient.

The campaign was ok. It got its ups and downs. Overall very good. Most of the time, it seems like we are always being over-powered by the enemies. Guess a new processor allows them to all more people now. Still a great game.

Yeah.... its the only time in the game your shooting from 800 (or 900?) meters too... so.. theirs that.. ya know, because when your shooting from 100 feet away, the 3 MPH wind isint going to have much of an impact..

I agree with alot of the people here (not that first page... I was suprised to see so many people agree, actually) COD4 is one of the best SP campaign's i've ever played in an FPS ... not to mention the amazing multi, its one of my favorite games ever.. the only one that's on my top 10 list that came out last year..

The varity definatly helped, and none of it felt tacked on or poorly thought out... I love COD4.. and i've never played a COD (for more than a few hours) before.

It's certainly a great single player experience, is there co op? I don't enjoy it's multiplayer. But if you're only going to put that in your top 10 from last year then you're missing out on some seriously amazing games like Halo 3, Mass effect, the Orange box or Bioshock.

I actually have beaten Halo 3, on legendary, and am a rank 35.. COD4 blows it away in both SP and MP, I cant enjoy halo anymore after playing COD4.. its so much better, ME... played it for awhile.. watched my bro play it alot... fun enough.. over hyped.. but great story... OB... only played portal.. over hyped.. again, imo.

And then Bioshock, amazing, straight up... probably my #2 game last year, but it had its flaws.

You're entitled to your opinion, even though its wrong in this case, but personally, I found it to be the single greatest campaign in an FPS ever. It's so damn cinematic!

Blows Halo 3 away in SP? lol. WIth it's respawning brain dead enemies, and their ability to land perfect grenades at your feet at all times. But COD4 had good co-op though......oh wait.... Sorry, you can get away with saying COD4 has better MP. But saying the SP is better is just moronic.

wow, are you serious?

while that campaign was short, it was innovative, epic, and great fun.

there were a few parts where it was not so fun, but eh, that happens in every game sometime.

TMontana1004

Innovative? Do you even know what that means?

i don't know if it's just me, but i have never played a level such as in COD 4 when you're in the ac-130 shooting down as air support, or sneaking through all the enemy soldiers and sniping zahkaev in a game before, etc.

certainly, the AI was stupid, there were some parts where it got kind of boring, but over all the campaign was epic fun

Was great if you didn't play on Veteran the first time around. All Ghillied up - who came up with that stage, I mean come on.

However, on Normal it's a great single player experience IMO, one of the better SP FPS campaigns I had played through in '07. Especially compared to Halulz 3 campaign.
