I've been playing my 360 for a while now, and recently my brother bought a ps3 and i played it a few times, and i have to say the biggest problem i had with it was the controller. It felt small in my hands, and the R2 and L2 buttons feel really weird to me compared to the xbox 360 controller. I don't know if it's just me, but has anyone else experienced this?

THe only really difference is the left analog stick/dpad are swapped spots on the 360 controller from the PS3 one. They feel different depending on what you are playing. PS3s controller is defenitely more for action/adventure and platformers. 360 better for shooters.

R2 and L2 feel no different to me.

That's not the only difference. The PS controller IS smaller. Atleast for me, my hands are a bit bigger for the PS so after hours I can get somewhat like cramps etc... The 360 seems more fit for my hands, more natural.

I Use to own a 360 and i still own my org, xbox but ive always seem to like the ps2 controller better the ps3 is a diff story i kinda miss the weight in the thing when the DS3 comes itll be back to normal so no worries but yeah like if i played all day on my 360 then switched to my ps3 or 2 it would feel weird but its just favor in taste of the controller i like PS better but GC i think was pritty awsome controller as well

I think you just got to get use to the controller. For my self i had a PS1, PS2 and PS3. No other consoles. There fore i very comfortale with it. When i go to my cousins house to play his x-box. Im completely useless! everything seems weird.

i gatta agree. the ps3 controller is taking some getting use too. the smaller size and l2 r2 buttons being the only real issues. as someone else said i get cramps in my hands when playing for extended periods with the ps3 controller.

i think the l2 r2 buttons wouldnt be so bad if they curved up instead of down. i alwasy feel like im fighting to keep my fingers on them when im usin em.

I have been using the Duel Shock since PS1, there is not controller in the world that I (key word) am more comfortable with, and I am sure the same goes for many other gamers who owned a PS2.

I like both controllers, I like the weight of the X360 controller better though, but I like the buttons better on the PS3 controller. I found they are similiar enough that it's not a big deal either way.

it felt pretty light to a bad extent, but the fact that it was wireless made me a bit comfortable. i've never owned a sony console so it took a while to get used to it when i get a chance to play one, though overall it isn't that bad.

I'm use to the PS3 controller because I'm use to the PS2 controller but to me the PS3 feels cheap like its about to snap off if you press too hard. Hopefully the DS3 doesn't feel as cheap.

I've never owned a sony system so it feels wierd to me. I can still kick @$$ in a game but I have to warm up on it. My personal fave is the Dreamcast.

The thumb sticks are a little too floppy imo. The 360 sticks have a tiny bit more resistance. I like that a lot. I also don't like the weight. I am looking forward to the DS3 specifically for the extra weight, not really the rumble.

Besides the comfort factor, the Dualshock performs every bit as good as the 360 controller, except on shooters, I can't really get the hang of them yet. I haven't spent much time with Sixaxis, but I'm sure it's near identical as past iterations. If you're a PlayStation gamer, it gets the job done, it has for me the last 10+ years.

I find my Dualshock 3 to be every bit as cool and comfortable as the 360 gamepad. Glad that they both have rumble now.

When I first got a 360 it was hard to go back to a Ps2 controller, but after I got my Ps3 the SIXAXIS just felt like an old friend, but lighter and with no wires. I still kind of like the 360 controller for some things but it feels so heavy and bulky in comparison anymore.

Other then L2 and R2 being weird no problems except it feels almost too light. Thats not even a real issue though just preference, and probably comes from the weight of the battery pack in the 360 controller.

Dual shock is nice for fighting games, but I end up hitting my thumbs together with games that use both thumbsticks. Imo, X360 controller would be almost perfect with a good d-pad.

It's "fine" not great but "fine". Compared to the SNES controller the shape was supposed to be an evolution of, it was comfortable, but its ergonomics should have been updated in the past 10 years. Going from the DS to the 360 controller there is unfamiliarity. Going from the 360 controller to the DS controller brings in unfamiliarity and uncomfortability. I don't understand how the same design can be used from the time when the Dpad was the primary control mechanism for game, and not change now that the analog stick is the primary control interface. At the very least, Sony should get with the times and swap the Dpad and left analog positions. The 360 controller is what I felt the PS3 controller SHOULD have been.

Stop being a tool..and read the replies to the topic The TC and the replies "Clearly" said "for me" and "I"....

"I" agree with the TC..Now here is the part you miss..."I" feel the 360 controller is more comfortable for "my" hands..Sony's controller never really say well for "me"..

i got a DS3 and it feels fine I prefer the ps controller over any other controller. I extremely dislike the bumbers on the 360. I think they are too flat and i forget that they are there. The sixaxis is way too light and feels cheap but with ds3s coming out soon that should be fixed.

coming from PlayStation 2 to Xbox 360. The 360 controller took some time to get use to it, but after playing some FPS games you realize its the best controller ever. But start playing a fighting game, and it takes some time to get use to the 360's D-pad.

I personally like both. After selling my 360 I kept the controller for my pc( had 2 of them) But the PS3 was originally wierd since it was so lite but since I got the DS3 everything is gravy now.

I don't mind the shape/feel of the controller but the analog triggers are a joke. First time I tried them I was disgusted, I've got used to them since but I still don't like them much.

it's good for it's own games as is the 360 controller for it's own games.

only thing that sucks about the six-axis is the super light weight; I'm not a fan of it.
