THe only really difference is the left analog stick/dpad are swapped spots on the 360 controller from the PS3 one. They feel different depending on what you are playing. PS3s controller is defenitely more for action/adventure and platformers. 360 better for shooters.
R2 and L2 feel no different to me.

That's not the only difference. The PS controller IS smaller. Atleast for me, my hands are a bit bigger for the PS so after hours I can get somewhat like cramps etc... The 360 seems more fit for my hands, more natural.
I think you just got to get use to the controller. For my self i had a PS1, PS2 and PS3. No other consoles. There fore i very comfortale with it. When i go to my cousins house to play his x-box. Im completely useless! everything seems weird.
i gatta agree. the ps3 controller is taking some getting use too. the smaller size and l2 r2 buttons being the only real issues. as someone else said i get cramps in my hands when playing for extended periods with the ps3 controller.
i think the l2 r2 buttons wouldnt be so bad if they curved up instead of down. i alwasy feel like im fighting to keep my fingers on them when im usin em.
I've been playing my 360 for a while now, and recently my brother bought a ps3 and i played it a few times, and i have to say the biggest problem i had with it was the controller. It felt small in my hands, and the R2 and L2 buttons feel really weird to me compared to the xbox 360 controller. I don't know if it's just me, but has anyone else experienced this? emmel05
I have been using the Duel Shock since PS1, there is not controller in the world that I (key word) am more comfortable with, and I am sure the same goes for many other gamers who owned a PS2.

AMEN
I'm use to the PS3 controller because I'm use to the PS2 controller but to me the PS3 feels cheap like its about to snap off if you press too hard. Hopefully the DS3 doesn't feel as cheap.
ive heard the DS3 feels about 10 times better than the DS2 for ps2 and you will never want to play with the sixaxis contorller again once you have the DS3 ima buy two my least fav friends can have the sixaxis while i use the DS3I'm use to the PS3 controller because I'm use to the PS2 controller but to me the PS3 feels cheap like its about to snap off if you press too hard. The ps3 controller is fine
the ps2 controller was fine
the original ps controller was fine,
they are all the same, any argument or complaint about the Ps3 controller is rediculous, its been around longer than other other controller ever
It's "fine" not great but "fine". Compared to the SNES controller the shape was supposed to be an evolution of, it was comfortable, but its ergonomics should have been updated in the past 10 years. Going from the DS to the 360 controller there is unfamiliarity. Going from the 360 controller to the DS controller brings in unfamiliarity and uncomfortability. I don't understand how the same design can be used from the time when the Dpad was the primary control mechanism for game, and not change now that the analog stick is the primary control interface. At the very least, Sony should get with the times and swap the Dpad and left analog positions. The 360 controller is what I felt the PS3 controller SHOULD have been. The ps3 controller is fine

"I" agree with the TC..Now here is the part you miss..."I" feel the 360 controller is more comfortable for "my" hands..Sony's controller never really say well for "me"..

Well that's great for "you" isn't it
The ps1 controller was crap.
The ps2 controller was crap.
Therfore, the ps3 controller is crap.
360 controller > Wiimote > n64 controller > gc controller > xbox s controller > xbox "duke" controller > dualshock
I agree that the 360's sticks are better placed.
How about you though? Dont you hate that terrible 360 dpad?
