Compaing the first 9 months of games (360vsPS3)

Comparing the first 9 months of games on the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3.

Alot of people are complaing that the PS3 has no games compared to the Xbox 360 but what they forget is that the Xbox 360 has been out exactly 1 year longer than the PS3 so the Xbox has had more time to get it's big franchises out this year while PS3's big franchises are coming out next year.

Here is a comparison of the games that came out on both systems during the first 9 months of each. The number is 9 months because PS3 has only been out for 9 months.

Xbox 360 - November '05 -August '06 (first 9 months)

This list includes only exclusive games rated 8.0 or higher by gamespot.com

Hopefully this will shutup all the "Playstation 3 has no games". This obviously proves the Xbox 360 didn't have anymore good exlusive games than the PS3 through it's first 9 months.

Once again, all the Top franchises for the 360 are hitting this year because developers because the 360 has been out 1 year longer than the PS3. All the top franchises for the PS3 will hit next year.

So please, lemmings, stop the bs about how PS3 can't get any AAA games through it's first 9 months. Because it's obvious you didn't have much of a showing through your first 9 months either.

why would you list the consoles on exlusives thats like reviewing a guitar with out taking in to consideration the pickups, strings and tuning nobs, bridge and any thing not made by the company who made the guitar.

Thats MS fault how, Sony should of been on schedule for the spring of 07 in the first place. Don't go hiding behind that fact, now Sony is playing catch up. Lets not even mention that even if the 360 didn't have games either...it still sold more then the ps3 has in that time span.

The ps3 is playing catchup, there is no beating around the bush on it...and it falling behind as the 360 and wii move forward. I am telling you now this holiday is a huge one for all 3 companies. IF sony doesn't win it out, it's going to have a tuff time ahead of it.

Ya but they were already done and done by the time they came to PS3. They were marquee games when they came to 360, and they were VERY good games. People like you always bring this **** up. GRAW was exclusive. The PC and the Xbox versions were a completely different game. Get it through your head. PLEASE!!

Coming but who knows when, but its not out now on any console other than the 360. So its exclusive as of now.

Bioshock is exclusive if you are comparing the PS3 to the 360. Because Cows can't play it on their PS3's.

Also you counted Tekken: Dr thats a psp games and a psn game, if that counts using your virtua fighter rule uno and gemotery wars counts.

If your comparing 2 systems directly then yes it is, because it isnt available on the other. Or if I made a thread that said best games for only the Wii, PS3, and 360. Bioshock would be considered exclsive in such a thread because it isnt available on the other two.

But obviously in the grand scheme of the gaming market Bioshock isnt exclusive, since its also on PC.

You have to consider where your argument goes wrong. Yes, theoretically, 360 COULD always be ahead. But you can't deny the use of somewhat dated technology in the 360. And that puts a hinerance on the future of 360 games. Therefore, its likely that MS will release a whole new console, early again. And, yes, they would be ahead there too. Put who wants to keep up with that? Who wants to pay $400 or more for a new console every 4-5 years?

Besides, even with the year lead, 360 isn't doing much more than the PS3 in the way of graphics and such. With your argument, your 360 games should be leaps and bounds over the PS3 games. An w're talking about power, not time with devs.
