[QUOTE="The_Crucible"][QUOTE="rdo"]failed for being irrelivant. i can go to the store and buy all the 360 games, not just the ones made in the first 9 months. the ps3 still dosn't have a single AAA game that isn't a port of a 360 game. in 23 days we'll be playing halo3, what will you be playing. the 360 will always be out a year longer, it's not like sony has a time machine and can catch up. it's all about what you can go to the store and get TODAY, not what you can get today vs what you could have gotten a year ago. about a year ago both goty contenders were 360 games (oblivion and gears). what does the ps3 have?lair.rdo
You have to consider where your argument goes wrong. Yes, theoretically, 360 COULD always be ahead. But you can't deny the use of somewhat dated technology in the 360. And that puts a hinerance on the future of 360 games. Therefore, its likely that MS will release a whole new console, early again. And, yes, they would be ahead there too. Put who wants to keep up with that? Who wants to pay $400 or more for a new console every 4-5 years?
Besides, even with the year lead, 360 isn't doing much more than the PS3 in the way of graphics and such. With your argument, your 360 games should be leaps and bounds over the PS3 games. An w're talking about power, not time with devs.
bioshock isn't leaps and bounds better than lair? did i and the rest of the world miss something? You did miss something. Lair's only issue, ONLY issue, was the control scheme. The graphics are top-notch (as good as any), the audio is superb, the animations realistic, and the story is intrigueing. Don't put poorly designed gameplay on the PS3's inner hardware. The games on PS3 are beautiful. Read just about any PS3 exclusive coming out, they are all beautiful.
