Comparing Microsoft/Sony/Nintendo's presentations at E3

1)Microsoft and Nintendo were showing other games than just a shooting games like racing games and stuff like that. Sony E3 2014 was mostly about FPS games only.

2)Microsoft and Nintendo were showing gameplay videos, Sony was showing CGI videos(no ingame, fake CGI).

3)Microsoft and Nintendo were showing games that are coming out this year, gave info about games we want to play and care about. Sony showed games that are not coming out this year... so we have to wait next year E3 2015 to see those games...

4)Microsoft and Nintendo spent more time showing games, Sony spent more time TALKING, showing TV, TV series, new Camera, sale...

Clearly, Microsoft and Nintendo E3 2014 was about games, Sony E3 2014 was about promo TV and Camera

In my opinion , Nintendo won . Micro$oft's conference wasn't bad either . I was expecting a lot more from Sony , it was disappointing .

Nintendo showed only few games but those games were all exclusives.

Microsoft showed games, games, games, exclusive games, exclusives dlc and multiplatform games.

Sony showed... few games... tv... camera... PSN+... sale....

I say Nintendo and Microsoft both won. Microsoft was showing 1hr and 30 min games, games and games, so it can´t be bad. E3 is still about games, right?

BTW OP, EDGE, Gamespot, IGN,... and countless others have stated Sony won E3. No amount af damage control is going to change that.

There are a lot of facts here to work with. Sony didnt have enough quality games to show so had to resort to 40 minutes of indies. There is were you get the high number count of games. Sony fluf.

I was content with all three showings. Good games were shown. Interesting line-ups.

It looks like Sony won.

Sony showed 17 full games(most were CGI trailers) and then 1 min montage where they showed 25 different indie games.

Microsoft showed 32 full games(gameplay videos, ingame trailers) and then also about 1-2 min montage where we saw 7 different indie games.

Full games >>> Indie games.

E3 more than just the main show. Nintendo did not stop showing games after their event. They kept showing more and more games though out the whole show.

This is fact, moire games more exclusives, nintendo > sony > microsoft.

I'm surprised Sony won another E3 when this was supposed to be the E3 where MS makes a huge comeback. I guess games, games, games means showing multiplats that are inferior on your system and CGI trailers for games coming in 2016 at the earliest. Makes me worried that MS would show 2016 games this early.

I have a feeling Gamescom and TGS will also be Sony's, since they still have almost their entire 1st party that needs to announce games.

All subjective. Nintendo won, I agree. Sony and MS were a dead heat. I didn't care for some of the games from either of them, but Nintendo? Man that company can come up with some great stuff.

I'd say Nintendo clearly won with a large collection of exclusives with a good number releasing this year, but it's something of a toss up between the other two.

-Better presentation goes to Microsoft. They wasted absolutely no time and showed off exactly what we wanted to see while spending as little time on games like Dance Central as possible

-Better games. Microsoft had the stronger exclusive chowing in number and variety and they showed a good deal of 3rd party support. Sony Had the bloodborne reveal for exclusives which is a big deal and showed the two biggest games of E3 with Batman Arkham Knight and No Man's Sky. However those two games will be on Xbox one anyways.

In the end I'd have to give the second place to Microsoft for a stronger exclusive showing and a better paced conference despite me having no intentions of buying an Xbox One.

P.S. God there are so many Sony fanboys in these forums. They make me embarrassed that I enjoy Playstation consoles.

Nintendo raised the bar in terms of interactivity for fans. I hope E3 starts to head more and more in that direction from now on- Less and less stuff for the press, and more and more for the fans.

Also, it's not really mentioned too much on here, but Microsoft's conference was much better paced and had better public speakers. Lots of games and gameplay trailers, and most of them didn't last too long- good fast pace. They spent all of one minute talking about Dance Central, when Ubisoft brought out all the dancers for Just Dance 2015 they immediately lost my attention.

sony revealed more games and didnt even mention some games even though they already exist like the vita games, planetside 2, driveby etc....they even had like the indie announcement like 1 month ago that had 10+ indie games.

Nintendo outdid everybody thanks to the treehouse coverage. They showed so much gameplay about their exclusives, indies, and very early projects. Their conference was aimed at the people, not at the press and shareholders.

I cannot comprehend anyone who says Sony outdid that.

Come on now ... Its the only game you saw at Sony press conference that was a big deal for PS4 owners ? ... Why i saw more than that ? ...

Have you read the posts of the people in this thread that just say that Sony dominated without anything to back it up. There are a lot of blind Sony followers on this forum. I'm embarrassed by them because I too enjoy sony's products. I'm part of their fanbase and those people make us look brain dead.

The reason I mentioned Bloodborne is because it was a very big plus for Sony to have that game at their conference. It looks fantastic and most likely will be a major game this generation. I'm not saying it's the only thing they had, but unfortunately they showed no gameplay to the masses. Luckily there was leaked footage to see. Uncharted 4 is hardly a big deal for that conference. I personally hate the series with a passion, but I know it is a huge deal for a lot of people. Unfortunately they showed no gameplay. It was a very small tease.

If I was just ranking the conferences on what they showed regardless of exclusivity, I would have given the whole thing to Sony for Batman Arkham Knight and No Man's Land (The two best games of the show IMHO), but Batman is available for the One and No Man's Land is also likely to come to the One as well. Exclusives are the ammo these companies have on eachother and I feel that the One having more gameplay footage and games coming out this year as well as having a more entertaining conference (no boring speach in the missle) pushed them ahead of Sony.

Like I said it was close between Microsoft and Sony. I'm OK with people picking one over the other if they display they gave it thought. You jumping on me because I didn't place sony higher suggests more about your fanboyism than my own.

I would like to hear your own reasoning behind why Sony did better than the others, because you haven't said much defending your opinion.

Of course SONY showed the most game. By gamers, for gamers, the SONY way and that's why they were the obvious winner of 2014 E3.

Not including indies, Sony showed shit for games. Showed less games and less exclusives. Showcased 1 year old rehashs, one of which they tried passing off as an exclusive. MS totally brought the games in numbers with quality, without resorting to naming off a ton of no name unknown games they currently have in production. Could MS have shown a ton of 2015 indies? Yea but who cares? Sony still is short in 2014 and E3 only confirmed this.

The other funny things is how much time Sony spent on non gaming discussions. They talked about TV so much for the little amount of apps the console provides. MS announced how they are dedicated to bringing over 45 streaming apps to the Xbox One in addition to what they already offer, Sony can't compete with that. While MS focus has been heavily dedicated now to gaming, they are still fulfilling their initial vision of making it your one stop shop entertainment device. I can see why they filled their E3 with indies and non gaming related topics when they have nothing else to show. I thought the PS4 was a devs wet dream to work with? Still waiting on the games almost an entire year later.

Truth. Over half of ps4's games shown were indie titles. I'll take the better exclusives, online play, and features the x1 has thank you. Those with the ps4 can keep waiting for something to set it apart from the competition other than what it doesn't have in comparison.

Lems are by far the dumbest bunch on system wars. I challenge lems to find more websites that state ms one e3.

And after that you mentioned only Bloodborne , like it was the only big title you saw in Sonys conference. You like it or not ... UC4 for example is huge deal for the system similar to Halo or Gears for X1 or Zelda or mario for Wii U ... You cant just bypass those titles like its nothing because you dislike them because then you are not as genuine as you think you are.

For example , personally im not into Kart/Smash and Mario games at all ... So automatically Nintendos conference was sucky ? No it wasnt...
