Everytime a game thats multipalt is shown off, its on 360. This often gets me worried about the PS3 version. For Example, Capcom Demod Re 5 using a 360 build, which makes me think the PS3 version isnt going along so well. Hopefully its like GTA 4, where it runs jsut as well. But it still gets me worried when this happens aned makes me reconsider my Preorder version. I was going to get Re5 on PS3, but am not sure now. Of course, this could mean nothing.

Meh, Resident Evil 4 was best on the Gamecube but it still played just fine on the PS2 so it shouldn't be a big deal.

YEah when they are developed on the 360 first, that tends to happen. Wouldn't really have that happening if devs started on PS3 first.

I'm sure it'll be fine, DMC4 worked out OK. I'm getting the PS3 version, regardless. I've always played Resi on PlayStaitions, a few inferior textures or slightly less stable framerate won't change that.

yah dude the ps3 will have a slightly ill-placed pixel bexuase it's a 360 port making it inferior. seriously i mean before there was a noticable difference but now it is just silly...

im guessing the instal base. more people own a 360 so they want to show it on that system, just a guess.

You could Re5 running on the PS3 in that famitsu video, so I doubt it'll a Lost Planet type port job.

this is true.

They make the game on the 360 and then during the crunch-time process they get the PS3 version optopmised.

Apparently it's because Capcom had specifically asked for a console build of the game for the show, and the easiest thing for the team to do was dump current content from the development platform, PC, onto a debug 360."

Lost Planet was a quick cash in port IMO, not planned on being a multiplat release but whatever we'll see how they do with RE5

14640 MB - 600 Mins (10 Hours)
= 14.6 GB

Basically for every hour the game is you add 1464 mb so i dont see how it will be better on 360 when ps3 can have 50gb

Because 360 is much easier to work with, which means they can get the codes running much faster than with a PS3 hardware. But they are doing the same as with DMC, one team with each console, to keep them on par with their counterpart. Why are you worried? Havent you played DMC 4? Faster loading times and saves aside, they were on the same level of quality. capcom (though stupid sometimes) are doing a really good job at developing games on both platforms.

Yeah maybe but you can never be sure. It is not good PR to release crappy ports, they should take care of their company name and try release quality stuff.

DMC4 was ok i guess, have not played it myself i own 360 version.

I have noticed this with many other games not just Resident Evil 5. Does that mean that the 360 versions are better, because if I was a developer I would show my game at it's best.

Oh yeah Capcom, thanks for those install hard-drive. Why would they do that when 360 obviously has a DVD format which is smaller?

just a guess but I would say the 360 version is probably further along at this point. And dont count the PS3 version out yet, but we will have to see on that one. Bioshock is looking nice.

Edit: Its obvious why, deelopers have a much easyer time making games on the 360 first, so the process goes like this, we develope the 360 one with most of our team and let another team start on the ps3 version and when we are done with the 360 version they all go help finish off the ps3 version which is a big reason why games are delayed on the ps3. Yes a year head start with devs working on the ps3 can have an advantage over the 360 especially when the ps3 is hard to code for.

I really doubt they will differ, no more than other recent multiplatform games. COD4, GTA IV, DMC4, etc. have all faired quite well on both systems and I don't doubt that RE5 will fair similarly.

snce 360 is easier to develop for, the 360 build is probably further ahead in the development process.

Devs, as far as i know, want to make a good impression when they show a game. Showing the more developed version will probably 'wow' the audience more.

and DMC4 was just fine, it's Capcom; they're freakin' beasts in the industry.

I dont think u should worry about this, DMC4 was just as good on both consoles, dont let the LP disaster let u think otherwise.
